The Devil's Broken Doll

The Devil's Broken Doll

Smoke leaked from the corners of her mouth as the vision took her, the scent of singed flesh and old incense curling into the superheated air. Fire. Three fires. No, no, no, it is wrong, it is all wrong. The Queen’s blaze, I saw it breathing, screaming— The Devil’s flame—devouring, answering— but the third, the third— a spark in the dark, forgotten, starving— it woke, it woke, it WOKE. The flames are bound by fate, but fate is lying. It is not unity, it is collision. They will BURN each other. They will BIRTH something monstrous. They will choose the end of everything. Or the beginning. It woke. It burns. It comes!” The words slithered through the chamber like a forbidden invocation. They cr

W.I.L.D.

W.I.L.D.

Her breath trembled as something inside her cracked—not with breaking, but with release. She closed her eyes, drawing the wildfire closer, not to crush it, not to run—but to face it. The whispers tore at her, but she pushed back with her own voice, raw and burning: “I am not your kindling. I am not your ruin. I am flame, and flame is mine to carry.” The wildfire shuddered, sparks bursting outward like a thousand tiny stars. The dark edges burned away, leaving only fierce, golden light that wrapped around her like a mantle.

SUPREME GHOST WEREWOLF

SUPREME GHOST WEREWOLF

With a final flourish, she extinguished the flames, leaving only a faint wisp of smoke in their wake. Elara, the newcomer with the Celestial Flames, stepped forward next. Her presence commanded attention, and her eyes burned with a fierce intensity. "My power is the Celestial Flames," she said, her voice ringing with authority. "These flames are imbued with celestial energy, capable of healing and destruction."

to be honest aarav is by far a very disappointing character . firstly oorvi comes highly abusive background she does not have the emotional strength to not fall into manipulation and he knows that and then all he cares and sings YOU HURT ME only. Highly selfish and I am disgusted by his behaviour .

The Lycan King: [Lan Farrow]

The Lycan King: [Lan Farrow]

My jaw gritted at the memory of Lan's headless form and I increased the intensity of the flames. The scathing flames fully engulfed him and he fell across the shelf. Just like the book in his memory, they started to burn as well; burn alongside their owner. I felt his mind disintegrate before he did. Black specks of dust raced up his legs, quickly swallowing up his body until there was nothing left. Quiet filled my ears. I sank down to my knees. Sweat trickled down my forehead to mix with the tears freely pouring down my face. The flames around me spread, cutting across the other shelves and racing up the walls until parts of the ceiling had started to fall off.

Beatrice and the Lord

Beatrice and the Lord

Division 24 The man looked confused. "The deaths? It has been peaceful in this area." Beatrice frowned. "How so." She mumbled to see a figure leave the church through the other door close to a burner. "Ha! Something is burning." She said, and the father turned to have his eyes widened. They both walked to the pulpit of the church and behold a book was on the burner while the fiery fire burned. Father Jude had gone to bring water to quench the fire and when the fire that had been burning was quenched, Beatrice squinted her eyes to see that three of the books in the burner had burnt to ashes but one had not burned..not a single scratch on its body.

The Hated Mate (Lycan and his Lover Book 2)

The Hated Mate (Lycan and his Lover Book 2)

“In human form, we can create the Blaz Flame and the Cold Flame. Cold Flame is the regular kind of fire which we see in every household. It can burn down a human but supernatural creatures can recover from it. A Blaz Flame is more dangerous. Any area burnt with this flame will result in instant death. Luckily, this flame does not have a long range. It is only for enemies who are up close.” “And the last one?” Anna asks. “The last one-” CRACK! They are startled when they hear the cracking of twigs. Both of them spin around. Anna has her blade out while Lavi is ready to attack with his flames. They can smell the scent of the person. “Nine!” Anna yells. “I can smell you! Come out!” They are sta

Whoa tae tea. You are outdoing yourself in this book. Loving the book so far and the interactions between the ML and FL. They are so feisty together during this “hate” phase. I’m excited for more background and how they start to fall in love. Read this book pls, it’s so good. Writing is superb.

A wonderful companion to it’s predecesor. The story is a fantasy dark romance but in a good way. It’s done so well even Shakespeare would approve lol it’s full of hate love and adventure. Watch out Lord of the rings you have competition with this wonderful writer.

Burned (New Adult Romance)

Burned (New Adult Romance)

I didn't care, I just knew that it was fantastic. With every lick, the ember of my desire burned brighter, threatening to catch into a full blown blaze at any moment. I felt my temperature rising, the heat consuming me from within. Tremors rocked my body as his tongue fanned the sparks that my body nursed. I felt the heat rising, felt the smoke, and where there's smoke, there's always fire. When the flame ignited, my eyes squeezed shut. Delicious licks of fire washed over my every nerve, intensifying every sensation that I felt. The red color of the flames was all I could see, and my ears roared with the intensity of the flame.

Devourer of Souls

Devourer of Souls

I held that nozzle down and kept the flame there and didn’t stop until I’d coated him head to toe with flames that looked like the purest, cleanest things I’d ever seen. The man in yellow, painted in vibrant shades of red and orange, stood there and burned. No screams of rage or pain, no thrashing or wailing. He just stood there, on that stage, burning. When the flames touched that book, it exploded. No shit. It leaped into flame and exploded. For a moment its flames looked bright green, as if something foul and poisonous was burning.

Frequently Asked Questions

I stumbled upon 'Broken Flames' during a deep dive into indie fantasy novels, and it hooked me instantly. The story revolves around a world where fire isn’t just an element—it’s alive, sentient, and tied to human souls. The protagonist, a former fire-wielder named Elara, lost her connection to flames after a catastrophic event that left her physically and emotionally scarred. The book explores her journey to reclaim her power while navigating a society that fears her kind. The author paints this world with such vivid imagery—embers that whisper secrets, cities built atop dormant fire-beasts, and a political system where control of flame dictates hierarchy.

What makes 'Broken Flames' stand out is its raw emotional core. Elara isn’t your typical chosen one; she’s brittle, resentful, and often makes selfish choices. Her relationship with Kai, a rival fire-wielder with his own scars, is a messy dance of trust and betrayal. The magic system feels fresh too—fire isn’t just a tool but a character with its own whims. Some scenes left me breathless, like when Elara communes with a wildfire that demands memories as fuel. The book’s climax forces her to confront whether power is worth the cost of losing herself—a theme that lingers long after the last page.
