“Go. Do what you need to do.” He hesitates for a moment longer, then leans in and kisses me, slow and deep. The warmth of his lips lingers even after he pulls away, and I have to clench my fists to keep from grabbing him and begging him to stay. “Goodbye, Katya,” he says, his voice low but full of emotion. “Goodbye,” I whisper, watching as he turns and walks toward Anatoly and the others. They exchange a few words before climbing into the SUV, and my chest tightens as the engine roars to life.

He pulled back just enough to look at me, then kissed me. It was desperate. Hungry. Like he was about to devour me , I was so in it too . I kissed him back, my fingers digging into his shirt. A soft sound escaped my lips when his hand wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer. “Ariana…” he murmured against my mouth. I let myself feel it. Just for a second. Just one last time. When we finally pulled apart, he turned the water off and grabbed me a towel. We got dressed and he pulled me into a tight hug. His arms tightened around me as he kissed me. it’s firm and deep and gentle. His hands slid through my wet hair as he gripped it in his fingers. He lingered longer than usual, his lips moving languidly with mine, his hands holding me like he doesn’t want to let me go. “Goodbye Yoo-Mi,” he rasped when he finally pulled away from me, his eyes boring into mine. He took a step back, opened the door and I watched him go.
