The distance was small, almost imperceptible, but enough for Seara to notice it every time.

"I don't care," Seara replied silently, even though her heart beat a little faster every time she saw Austin from a distance.
That night, Austin approached her in the practice hall.
"Have you ever taken a Young Healer class?" he asked casually, as if it were a normal topic.
Seara shook her head. "Not yet."
"There's a session tomorrow morning. Basic non-dominant healing. You'd be good at it," he said. "If you want."
