Healer Monster Novels & Stories

She's shaking—silent but terrified—and I feel her small hands fist in the back of my shirt. "Stay back," I warn. "Or what?" He tilts his head, and his eyes flick to Adam's unconscious form behind me. "Your Alpha can't protect you right now. And you… well, you're a healer. Not a fighter." "Try me." He laughs—low and patronizing—and I want to claw his face off. "I'm not here to hurt you, Alyssa. I'm here to offer you a deal." "I don't make deals with monsters."

To seek it. Gary was an ancient healer with the knowledge and experience of an entire line of healers. He was also a hunter with that same lineage pouring their experiences of battle into him. He was fast and he moved through the teen’s body, repairing each massive problem Darkness began. Aneurisms, strokes, lungs filling with fluid, Darkness tried them all, while the healer rushed to repair or stop the damage. Damonq was quiet, looking for a pattern in the attacks on Amelia. There always was a pattern. Always. No one could help it, and an ancient monster such as Darkness least of all.

"Why are there so few of them, and inept at healing?" "I think the Great Reverence hated that if you have a healer who is powerful that they might worship them instead of him. The only recorded healer that was the strongest happens to be the Saintess. The other are magical beasts who are in tune with healing abilities. Although most of them don't want anything to do with humans... You can begin"

After a long pause, he finally said, “I have seen changes like this before, but only in very few healers. These healers are rare and they usually prefer to live far from the rest of us. They keep to themselves, often at the edge of our borders, avoiding interaction with packs unless it is necessary. In Crescent Moon Pack, there are two such healers. If there is anyone who can help you control this power before it harms you or the child, it will be them.” I exchanged a glance with Raya, who gave me a small reassuring nod.

“Do you not remember the first lecture we had? When I explained healers?” I think back. “Oh—yeah. You said they were extinct.” “Close,” she says, leaning forward on her desk. “High healers are rare. Not gone. They’re individuals with enough innate power to mend any wound—save for death itself—just by will alone. And you, Eldon Thorne, are one of them.” “Me?” My voice cracks, because how else do you react to being told you’re something out of myth? “Yes. That green glow when you heal? That’s the mark of it. Have you always had it?”

Most demons enter the healing course so that they could legally experiment on alive subjects. “What’s his name?” I asked. The healer quickly swiped on the tab screen and presented me with his CV. “Azum,” she said. I glanced at his CV. *** Azum Special Healing ability: Healing via Music. Wolf Ability: Can hear souls as melodies and songs. Special Factor: Capable of diagnosing even the faintest spiritual injuries by detecting inconsistencies in soul melodies. Can catch on subtleties that even our most advanced diagnostics can’t identify. Power source: Moon and Music.

They’re rare, and being able to speak to one today would have helped me make progress in getting Damien on his feet. From the childhood stories my mother used to tell me, the Moon Goddess once took the gift of healing from werewolves a long time ago. Packs used to go to war over healer wolves, and the strongest packs were usually the packs that had the most healers in their ranks. Healer wolves were able to heal with a touch once. The goddess’s light seeped from their hands and eyes, and they were sacred.

Did she mean me? When she hung up, she grinned. “There's a monster heading straight for us. Want to help us take it down?” "Did we just encounter another monster?" I asked, my heart pounding. "You know, like a really big, scary creature? Maybe something that used to be a wolf, but now it's gigantic?" “Yes, have you seen one before?” “Not really but this monster could get pissed off if we try to harm it.” "I understand. We're going to try to help them return to normal and bring them down as humanly possible. Our healer has special skills in dealing with the effects of this drug.”

I had to know two major things from her. With a finger to her cheek, her gaze pierced into my soul, "The bond will be restored once the destruction magic is eradicated. Spell leaves invisible residues. Healers are whitelighters that can remove the bad and reinstate the good. Therefore healers can repel dark energy. Look....."

He didn’t think so. There was something else going on. He just couldn’t tell what. Either the moon goddess had some big plans for him and Dhara or she was merely getting a kick out of his pathetic circumstances. Pathetic because the one woman he and his wolf agreed upon—wanted nothing more than to just claim her—was neither their mate nor someone they could mark. Healers were never known to be mated to anyone. They lived a solitary life. They were powerful but they were alone. It was just hard to say if that was a curse or a blessing.
