Her name and her title was plastered outside of her office door, bold and visible for anyone to see. I was jealous. "Come in." I heard her voice inside the office, allowing me to come inside. I opened the door and took a few steps inside the office. She tore her hands away from her computer and rose up from her seat out of respect. "Good morning. I-I wasn't expecting to see you." She stuttered, panic clear in her voice which meant she must've known that Leander was my mate yet she tried to get on him.

I was ready to head off to them, but a new voice interrupted. "Alpha Marcus and Ares are fighting in the pack hall over that girl. Look at this pic Mira just sent." I clenched my fists and traced those faces. They won’t go unpunished, but first… Milli. I hurried over to the pack house, my heart pounding with confusion and alarm. Not while I’m breathing.” Marissa’s face twists with rage, and she takes a step closer. “Then maybe I’ll just stop your breathing.”

Claire and janes both nodded in agreement to what Dario just said and it left Marissa thinking. “How?” “Just how could someone be this heartless enough to wanting you wipe away your entire clan just because you did not have your way with a man that was never yours”. The thought left Marissa’s mouth hanging open. “You look so shocked”. Claire laughed bumping her with her elbow. “It’s actually concerning that you all don’t look more shocked than I am because what I’m seeing and hearing is more than crazy”. Marissa said, staring at all of them who in one way or the other smiled at her innocence.

He was still thinking of what to do when someone approached Eliza. Eliza has never been happier to see Matan than at that moment. Her palpable relief was all over her face when she looked up at Matan. He clenched his fists as he saw how anxious and strained she looked. As soon as he saw the guy Eliza was talking to, he knew something wasn’t right. He was right about Mirella all along.
