*Hekate* I had always pondered on the possibility of Astrid taking after Lorna in appearances. The Goddess must have a cruel sense of humour. I brush back the silky strands of hair that cover her profile and Astrid stirs, murmuring something in her sleep. It is one of the many things I enjoy--watching her sleep. The lack of tension in her body, the unguarded look about her, her slightly parted lips and the rare smile that graces her face when she dreams—perhaps of me.

~~~ The next morning when Astrid woke up she found that she was in an unfamiliar room and was all alone. She got up and sat on the bed, and when she remembered what had happened yesterday, her whole body trembled and she started to cry. A few seconds later the door opened and Hayley walked inside the room, she gave Astrid a small smile and went near her, "hey... are you alright?" Astrid was in tears as she looked at Hayley, her face was red and she looked she was in pain and this time Hayley believed it, Astrid was genuinely crying.

Heather stood dumbfounded, "you can't do this to me! I am Heather Banks, I will not be treated like this, a stupid little she-wolf will not unseat me!" I heard snarls, I looked to Delmor thinking it was him, to my surprise, Luna Adina had grabbed Heather, holding her by the throat. "That is my niece you are talking about, one more word out of you and I will gladly rip you to shreds." She looked poised to shift at any moment. I could feel Aura as she entered the room. I turned to see her, she was wearing sweatpants, her favorite tank top, and of course, her pink slippers. She was watching from the doorway.

His skin is too hot. This is the only thought Heather could think of when he comes too close to kiss her. "Alpha..." Heather can't help to moan, she doesn't even know if she puts her hand on his chest to push him away or full him closer, "Wait do you even know who I am..." "Heather Bedasse, do you want me to stop or we can go on now?" Astrid complied with her instructions and they had an easy conversation. “If you don't mind me asking?" Doctor Delilah ticked the last question on her list. “When did you start having your traumas?" Astrid paled from her question. Author's POV “Remember you said there must be a reason why I approached you?” Astrid reminded Adams, looking down at him with a pleased smile. After all, she has got what she wanted already. She had her own plans all along. Kept it from Kaira as well. She didn’t just want to help Adams gain power; she wanted something much bigger as the process of helping Adams will bring her what she wanted. She wanted her daughter, Harper, to live a healthy life once again. Who had been cursed because of Astrid’s careless experiments with dark magic, and the sickness had clung to daughter for centuries.

I said in a low tone. Something about Rivera kept on nagging at my guts, and I was thankful we had gotten closer to the tents. “is that the Alpha King’s tent?” she asked, pointing towards Hades’ tent. I turned my head toward her, about to answer when the words clogged in my throat. I stood with my eyes wide in shock as Astrid walked out of the tent, her hair in a mess like hands had pulled them. Her lips swollen like It had just been kissed. My eyes trailed down to her neck, watering as I noticed the bite marks decorating it. Astrid pulled her hair up, the same way Hades made me do mine, proudly showing off his marks.

She snapped her gaze toward him so fast he stumbled backward. “Don’t say her name,” the thing hissed. “She is not here.” My heart dropped into a pit. “No,” I whispered. “No. She is here.” Her eyes flicked to mine. For one fragile second, the blackness wavered. Silver tried to push through, like drowning starlight. Her lips parted. “Sebastian…” Her voice. Her voice. I grabbed her arms, grounding both of us. “You’re stronger than him,” I breathed. “You’re Astrid Valen, heir of the First Luna—”

I look up, holding her gaze steadily. “Astrid was here last night. At the tower.” Hayley’s eyes widen comically. “Really? Is she as gorgeous in person as she is in the photos?” I almost roll my eyes. Ever since Hayley hacked into Astrid’s personal computer and retrieved those photos, she hasn’t stopped gushing about her beauty. “That’s not the point, Hayley dear. Focus.” She shrugs. “I mean, forgive me but Astrid Machiavelli is a goddess. That woman is a one hot bombshell. Sex on legs…!”
