Helen returned to her duties, and in her heart, she admired Blake for purchasing her clothing. After determining they would have lunch at the Captain’s Peer, Tabitha was excited and couldn’t get there fast enough. When they arrived, Blake and the women exited the vehicle with Helen next to the door. “Helen, when you park the car, join us for lunch,” Blake said casually. Helen was surprised that she would also eat at the Captain’s Peer, the number one restaurant in town. “Sir, are you sure? I’m only a driver.” Helen asked with a slight tremble in her voice.

Helen chuckled. "I'm so sorry." Luna sheepishly said. "Come with me, my sister is here." Right beside the other end of the counter was a door leading to their living room. Helen held the door open for her and upon entering, they quickly saw another old lady, presumably Dorothy, who was sitting on the sofa with a cup of coffee on her side. The interior of the bakeshop wasn't different from their living room. White tiles, wall, and ceiling. Luna liked how the house smelled like, it was like her late grandmother's perfume, sweet rose.

Sure enough, once they heard that they were going to eat hot pot, they were overwhelmed and grinned in glee even though it was almost midnight. The youngest of them all, Harmony Dunn, was Helen’s youngest sister. She came forward to hold Helen’s arm excitedly and said with a wide grin, “Helen, I have a few days to spare, so I plan to stay here for a couple of days. Let’s sleep together for a few nights, okay?” Helen smiled and said, “Tonight is fine, but not tomorrow. I want to go to Aurous Hill tomorrow.” “What?” Everyone looked at Helen in astonishment.

Helen sat in her office, the thought pounding in her head; everything she wished for was in her head, and she wished it could become a reality. She got up from her chair, unsure what to do. Because there are no fans outside, the atmosphere appears to be dull. Everyone must be preoccupied in some way. Helen rose from her seat. She walks slowly to the CEO's office, an envelope in her hand. "Sir," Helen said as she knocked on the door. Because the CEO did not respond, she entered without hearing his voice. "Don't tell me this is how you treated your previous CEO," Don Steven said as he hung up the phone.

I said with a smile, unsure what else to say. She took out a business card and handed it to me. "We should meet up later and discuss business,” I glanced through the card. It's a company card. Helen’s Atelier. I gasped silently, my eyes almost widening, but I tried to compose myself. Is she the owner of the popular Helen's Atelier? It's one of the top ten most popular Ateliers in the country. I smiled softly. “Of course, I'll give you a call,”

One of these scholars was Helena Woodrow. Helena Woodrow was reported missing by Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow on the thirteenth of September, Monday. The girl was last seen working at Sally’s Pizzeria on the eleventh of September, Saturday. The parents of Helena told the police that Helena would not usually go home for the weekends due to her work at the said pizzeria, so they did not bother when she failed to come home on Sunday. However, Helena did not show up at their house the following day. Moreover, the manager at Sally’s Pizzeria told Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow that Helena did not come to work on Sunday.

I asked quietly, turning away to give myself privacy. "That's not why I'm calling, sir." Fred paused. "Well, I'm still working on that. Mr. Todd remains uncooperative and I haven't been able to confirm anything yet. But something else has come up. Something urgent." My grip tightened on the phone. Fred didn't use the word "urgent" lightly. "What is it?" "Helen is in Kleetford." My heart stopped. Actually stopped beating for what felt like a full minute. "What?" The word came out barely above a whisper.

She fanned herself with her hand, and if Mackenzie’s eyes weren’t deceiving her, a telltale blush crept over her friend’s cheeks. “You’d think after all these years… well, the man knows how to keep things exciting… He knows what button to push just to make me feel hot and bothered.” Helen turned to ask for a glass of wine as the waitress arrived. She waited until the waitress left, before continuing in a hushed and disturbingly breathless voice. “Let me tell you this… My man actually bought me… edible underwear. Can you believe it?” “Edible underwear?”

Not long after Emily replied to Mrs. Zimmer’s message, her phone buzzed again. This time it was Helen. “Hey, remember that little takeout place near my college? They’ve expanded and turned it into a full-fledged restaurant. It’s their grand opening today. After my afternoon classes, I’m grabbing double portions of their signature spicy fish and bringing it over for dinner!” Helen followed up with another message, “I’ll also get your favorite fried snacks and beer, extra spicy with sweet dipping sauce.”

As her mouth closed around me I said, "Yes mom." Helen was the product of one of those little hollows that surround the coal fields of Bluefield, West Virginia. Somehow she had managed to scrape up enough money (a cousin of hers later told me she got most of it on her back) for a bus ticket to Detroit. She got off of the Gray Dog in downtown Detroit with just enough money for s cup of coffee and a donut.
