Someone Is Waiting For You Novels & Stories

I do not know that he has not yet decided whether to ring it. I do not know that he stood on the pavement across the street watching the entrance for forty minutes trying to decide. And I do not know that at seven fifty-two, a car pulled up outside my building and a man got out and stood beside it and waited, and that the man Liam has been watching since the man arrived has been standing there the whole time in perfect view, wearing a good coat, holding nothing in his hands, waiting for me with the specific quiet certainty of a man who was invited.

“I NEED YOU KNOW MORE THAN EVER.” SOFIA. The nurse nods and takes us both in turn. A quick needle. A small vial. She disappears back through the doors with both samples. And then we wait. The waiting room is not full but it is not empty either. There are other people here with their own emergencies, their own terrible waits. A man with his head in his hands in the corner. An older woman telling her rosary beads beside the window. The particular suspended quality of a place where everyone is waiting for news that will change something.

"Sir, if you don't leave voluntarily, we'll have to escort you out." "I'm not leaving until I see her." They call backup. Two more security guards appear. "Mr. Voss, we don't want to make this difficult. Please leave the building." "I just need to see her." "She's not available." "You haven't even asked her." "Sir—" "Fine. I'll wait. Outside. Until she comes out." I leave before they can escort me. Stand on the corner across the street. And I wait. -**********************- Two hours pass.

Five-Star Hotel in Busan A man in his mid-fifties was playing hide and seek with his lover when their game was interrupted by the doorbell. He frowned but managed to smile at her. In Korean, he said, “Wait for me." He walked toward the door and checked the camera to see who was there. He was startled to see several of his men waiting outside. He sighed, shook his head, and opened the door. “What is it?” he asked, cutting straight to the point.

"Miss are you ready to order?" another waiter came to meet me, "No I am waiting for someone," I dismissed politely. "Can you tell me what's going on outside?" I asked. "Oh a young man is trying to get in without a reservation," the waiter told me. "Oh, thanks," I said.

Even in that place the sound of music still pounding his eardrums. “It's very crowded here, Mr Lautner. I'm looking for the right position to keep an eye on Alexander Enzo. He looks like he's waiting for someone." "Who is Alex waiting for?" “The person he was waiting for hasn't come yet. But I'm sure Alex is waiting for someone. He was sitting alone at the bar." “Keep an eye on him then. I await information from you tonight.” "Fine. I—"

I asked. He looked at his watch and replied, "Yes! I am waiting for someone as well. As a matter of fact, I am here two hours ago... in this very the same place but the person I have been waiting for has not yet arrived!" I can really feel the pain of this man and I think that he is talking about his girlfriend or wife or it could be the girl he is courting. Before I say anything, I introduce myself to him first. "I am Stella!" I offered my hand to him and asked. "What is your name?"

As soon as the busy tone came from the other end, his face instantly went pale. "Sir, this is an invalid number," he stuttered, cold sweat rolling down his forehead. What kind of wedding would this be if the bride went missing?! "This can't be happening!" Bruno's brows furrowed; he snatched the phone from his assistant and checked it himself. Sure enough, the screen clearly read, "This number is not in service. Please check the number and dial again." By now, guests were already arriving at the venue one after another. They consisted of well-regarded individuals from various industries. If Aelia dared to throw a tantrum or cause a scene at this critical juncture, Bruno would never forgive he

With an exasperated sigh, I walk to the other side to get out and use the VIP elevator instead, but he blocks my way. “Do you want me to call the police?” I warned, still calming my nerves. “This will only take a few minutes, Miss.” I let out a deep breath, annoyed at the way he politely and gently said those words. One thing that I can't hate about him. He’s too gentle to hurt someone. I scratch my head as I gaze down at my smartwatch. We've been here for almost six minutes. “Where is he… or she or whatever?” “She's waiting for you in the cafe nearby.”

A jeep pulled up in front of the cafe. A beautiful woman wearing sunglasses was waiting there. The woman fidgeted, occasionally looking around to ensure the person she was waiting for arrived on time. As soon as she saw a young man leaving the car, she greeted him. "What took you so long, Clark? I'm almost dry waiting for you." Cheryl's face was annoyed, as evidenced by her pursed lips. She had been waiting so long, and he said he had been on his way for an hour.
