“Enough of this cat and mouse!” he thundered, eyes blazing. “He thinks he can outsmart me? He thinks he can run forever?”
The room fell silent, his men frozen under the weight of his rage.
The Boss leaned forward, breathing hard, his voice dropping into a dangerous calm. “If Kroos wants to live in whispers, then we’ll drown him in them. Spread word through every corner of this city. Put a price on his head so heavy that even his shadow won’t trust him.”
