Henry. Dr.Heney didn't say a word at first, he calmly went to the mini table where he had dropped his leather briefcase; the metal hinges made a lousy sound in the quiet room. He began laying out his instruments: a blood pressure cuff, a reflex hammer, and a series of small, sterile needles. Tardrain gulped seeing all of that. They were literally his worst nightmare. Just the sight of them made his skin crawl. “That was quite a performance, Tardrain.” Dr.Henry said softly, his back still turned. “She seems like she cares.”

“Um… “ She stuttered and Henry let out a low chuckle. He had noticed her staring for a while and for some reason, he liked it. “You can look your fill. I don’t mind,” Henry remarked and heat crept up Roxanne’s face. She suddenly thought about the medical files she saw and asked, “I’ve noticed that you don’t often go to the hospital. When do you have your physical therapy?” Henry froze. He glanced at Roxanne and answered, “My personal doctor does that for me. But I’m on a business trip right now so I can't have my usual routine.”

"Well, what of it? Would you prefer to see him in pain?" Raymond moves in closer, and for the first time, I observe the strain in his own body. He appears distressed, ambivalent. To my astonishment, he kneels next to me. I remain still. I hardly breathe while I see him watching Mr. Henry. He mutters curses quietly. He raises his hand, and I flinch, fearing he's going to act violently. Rather, he softly places his fingers on Mr. Henry's neck, assessing his pulse. "He will make it," Raymond mumbles, primarily to himself. "I will arrange for my personal doctor to examine him."
