The power was too much for the two other dark witches to withstand, it felt like they were being burnt alive. They bolted out of the room without wasting a second. Gia was stronger and tried her best to withstand the power but it was getting harder for her to continue

So, I shouted one spell out loud, and it worked. ‘But only witches can use wands, so how is this possible?’ Leon asks. I take the wand from my pocket, whirl it around, and point at a shrub, ‘Inferno Flamo.’ I say, and we watch as nothing happens. I pass the wand to Gianna. ‘Inferno Flamo?’ she says. Again, nothing happens. ‘Why does it only work for May?’ I ask. Nina takes the wand. ‘Inferno Flamo.’ She says, and a gigantic ball of flame appears and flies fiercely through the air over a mountain. We hear the impact in the distance, causing a touch of smoke to rise into the sky.

She raised her hands, dark, crackling energy pooling at her fingertips as she prepared to blast her way through. "I wouldn't waste your breath, or your sparks," Ms. Polly said calmly, tapping her fingers together. With a flick of her wrist, the bubble lifted a few inches off the ground, levitating the trapped witch right along with it. "That bubble is woven from the old magic. The harder you fight it, the tighter it holds."
