I settled into a quiet corner, hoping to lose myself in the story. The book started like any other werewolf novel, talking about full moons and shifting. But then, I turned the page and my breath caught. There was a picture. Not the usual handsome man turning into a wolf, this was different. This wolf was massive with glowing red eyes and thick, dark fur. The caption underneath read, “Cursed Alphas.” It looked… powerful. Intimidating.

I asked Owen, still finding it hard to believe that less than a minute ago, I discovered who my mate was, and he turned out to be an Alpha. If that isn't crazy, I don't know what is. "I guess you could say you have some luck. You're not going to get killed, but you'll be confined, whether you like it or not," he replied, and I frowned. "Confined? What do you mean by confined? He wouldn't do that to his mate, would he?" I asked, and a wicked cackle escaped his lips. "Don't even think about it, Missy. The Alpha is already engaged to his future Luna, and in the grand scheme of things, you don't exactly matter," Owen responded, and my heart sank into my stomach.

The moment a rogue killed my father the responsibility of becoming alpha fell onto me, I was eighteen then and was more than ready for the challenges of becoming the alpha of the Grayriver pack. Our kind is meant to find their fated mates at the age of eighteen, but honestly, the hype didn’t really live up to the expectation. I always thought that meeting my luna would mean that I would find my other half, the one I couldn’t live without. But honestly midway through my year of being eighteen, I kind of gave up on the whole idea of it all and just decided that fucking my way through the she-wolves of other tribes was way more fun than being settled with just one luna.

The Alpha had to listen to the majority of his council and elders, and Richard and Olivia had the most support from them. “I have a story,” I said to Diana and Devon with love as I caressed the sides of their faces to ease their worry. ‘I have a story about a beautiful young female shifter who was born without a wolf. And a shifter without a wolf… people call them wolfless.” I explained slowly. “So this girl, she was destined for a greater calling. She was loved by the Alpha with all his heart, for she was his mate. She was destined to become the Luna after the Moon Goddess bound them to be together forever.”

“The wolfless girl suffered a lot because loving the Alpha was never easy. People judged her. They tried to separate them. They made her feel weak and unwanted. But the girl and the Alpha kept fighting for each other because they believed love was stronger than fear.” Sofia’s eyes were already closing slowly. “And then,” I continued gently, “the Moon Goddess blessed them with twins. A boy and a girl. The Alpha loved those children more than life itself.” Luca smiled sleepily. “And after all the pain she endured, the wolfless girl finally received her wolf. She became one of the strongest she wolves in all of Italia. Then she lived happily with her Alpha and her twins.” Luca opened his mouth

“I do not know… what we have done. I do not know what they carry.” The Alpha’s hands rested on both children, tense, trembling. “We protect them. That is all we can do. No one outside this room can decide their fate.” The Luna shivered violently, blood spilling fast and unstoppable. Her body convulsed, then went still. With her last breath she whispered, “Protect them…” before her eyes dulled and closed forever. The Alpha roared, grief and rage colliding in his chest. He held the twins tightly, staring at the two fragile lives in his arms. The boy’s chest rose and fell steadily, but the girl’s tiny fists twitched sharply, low growls slipping from her throat.

Lorenzo's POV This was to be a game, a long one. Vera was protecting her love, Alex. I also had to do the same for Alpha Kai. She was an old witch but I was the Luna, the first she wolf of the pack. I was the ghost wolf, the destroyer. I shook the bars at Alex's cell vigorously, to alert him. He looked up from his sitting posture. There were lots of shackles knotted around him. More than he could escape with. He looked beaten, with numerous bruises that weren't healing, all over him.

There were gasps everywhere and when he turned to check what was going on, his blood ran cold and his breath seized - a pure big white wolf? He could recognize her anywhere, Luna Howell's wolf jumped into the middle of the hall and almost everyone could recognize her because her wolf and Lucius's was the only white wolf in the Alphaeus's pack plus her hazel eyes which remained the same both in human and wolf form - very special wolf, everyone said on the day she got married to Alpha Goan and became the Luna of the Alphaeus's pack.

Alpha Aric’s hand touched my palm, giving it a firm grip. “Alpha Aric has twin wolves,” he continued. “One of them has been sealed away for a long time—likely by high-level magic that even Alpha Aric himself was unaware of. That’s why he couldn’t recognize his matebound, and neither could Luna Lyara.” The Alphas and Lunas’ expressions shifted from shock to understanding. They exchanged glances, as if piecing together the puzzle pieces that had been hanging in the air. “How could Alpha Aric be made unaware of his own wolf?” Alpha Rhovan asked in disbelief.
