Why was I suddenly the one who pestered her endlessly? "You wanted me to say it to your face, right? Well, now I've made it very clear. Please leave my house." Her icy voice snapped me out of my thoughts. As I looked at her cold, resolute expression, all my lingering feelings for her dissipated. Seeing the neighbors watching, my heart sank to rock bottom. I grabbed the spoon from the tray and gently scooped some into my mouth. The warm, comforting porridge slid down my throat, soothing my parched throat. The familiar taste of oats and honey brought a sense of comfort and nostalgia. After I had savoured the first bite, I started shovelling the porridge into my mouth without breaking a sweat.
