Before I could answer, my father's voice filled the entire hall.
He didn't move from his place on the steps. He didn't have to. His presence was as heavy as a mountain, just standing there. His deep voice rolled over the chamber like thunder.
"Enough, everyone."
The word was a command, not a request. The daughters fell silent and the council stilled. Even my wolf paused at the weight of it. It was my father talking.
His gaze fixed on me, unblinking. "You dishonor them, Alpha Archer," he said, every word deliberate, a hammer striking iron on my chest. "But you dishonor yourself more if this is your choice."
