However, he lost that bet. He even lost his life in the process. It turned out that Caspian, who was everyone’s pride and joy, was a hopeless romantic. Caleb snapped the photo album shut and looked up just in time to see Shawn massaging his temples.

He zipped his face over to look at me, the paleness of his eyes making a spot in the pit of my stomach swirl like crazy. I rolled my eyes. “Yeah, no. I told him to wait twenty years and then ask again. But I’m banking on the possibility he’ll lose interest by then. Because honestly,” I set my hand against my heart and fluttered my lashes. “I’m not sure how I could marry Cason when I’m holding out for Hopeless Henry.” Wick wrinkled his brow in absolute confusion. “Hopeless Who?” My mouth fell open. “No. No way! You haven’t heard of ‘Hopeless Henry’? How is that even possible?”

I instinctively stepped back. Miles seemed hurt by my reaction, and his emotions erupted. He stammered while grabbing my arm, "How could you come to this godforsaken place without telling me? Are you really planning to stay here forever? "I've told you countless times, Nora doesn't threaten your position! Come back home with me, please? We can get our marriage license right away and have a grand wedding! I'll give you everything I have!" I gave him a brief, cold glance and let out a faint laugh. Standards built from fantasies that can actually be harmful. I do not doubt it. Expectations can bring disappointments. Disappointments can be harmful if not communicated well enough.

He's a man of everything but the truth is he was lonelier than I am." Henry started to share stories from their past. "Yes, he asked our friend, Anne for marriage but I don't think they will live long together, for sure they will end up to divorce. And I believe even Anne knew it that's why she back out." He continued while Kimberly remains quiet while listening to him attentively.

I tried to figure out how he arranges the books accordingly. Then I found my favorite corner, the romance section. I am a hopeless romantic, I grew up watching mom and dad live madly love with each other. Then my eyes started to water as I remind myself of them. I quickly wiped it away, but evidently, it wasn't soon enough as Nate was by my side looking worried again. "So, are you finished here? Why don't I show you what's fun to do here in this small little town that you're claiming to be your new home? Let's go." He wiped my tears and rubbed my arm in a friendly manner.
