He wore a black doublet embroidered with golden serpents — the symbol of his house. Around the table sat his closest advisors: General Draven, Chancellor Aldric, and, seated slightly apart in the shadows, Malachar himself. The sorcerer wore a dark purple robe. His skin was excessively pale, almost translucent, and black veins ran across his neck and hands. His eyes were completely black, with no visible white.

“Maleficent! Maleficent!” The scratchy voice of the horned being, Levi, chasing at the flying Maleficent resonated inside the portal. Since he was inside the domain of another Halfling, Levi could not conjure Basilisk to make the latter his transport since he did not get any wings. “What an idiot,” said Merlin. He dashed past Levi with a smug expression as he rode a pentagram that was emitting a bright purple aura. Merlin was stepping on it as it took him closer to Maleficent.

She’s shaking, and her spine drops back to the mattress as the ichor is finally contained in the crystal, which disappears into a pocket of the blue coat.
