Salem carefully lifted the top of the box and Kalista sucked in a sharp breath as her eyes fell on the terrible creature within. It was a three-headed serpent, scaly skin as dark as midnight. Its glowing red eyes glared at the two women above it. Strangely its eyes locked on Kalista and it shot out of the box, fangs exposed and aiming its strike for her. In the nick of time, Salem stepped in front of Kalista and the serpent froze, baring its fangs at the witch.
