The main atrium was dead silent when Headmistress Elira entered.
Tall, silver-haired, with eyes as pale as ice and twice as cold, she walked like someone who owned every inch of air between each breath. She wore a dark blue coat, buttoned to the throat, with no ornament except the black emblem stitched at her collar—a broken hourglass, the symbol of temporal binding.
It was a warning.
