Horror Online Dating Stories Novels & Stories

“That is the best project ever! I’m so glad you thought to ask me for help.” “Do you know anyone?” I asked. She shook her head. “Not a chance. But I do know my way around the online werewolf dating site. I say, without telling him that we set up a profile for Randy, that we get him online and try to find someone for him. You and Justin have expanded the True Mates pack and absorbed two whole packs. If Randy hasn’t found someone at home, he’s probably not going to anytime soon. And we can’t just wait for someone to move into the area.”

As the stories got scarier, I noticed a few of the younger pack members huddling closer to their parents, seeking comfort and reassurance. Soon, it was my turn to share a story. Feeling the weight of the moment, I cleared my throat and began my tale. "In a small village, there was a haunted mansion. It was said that the spirit of a vengeful witch roamed the halls, seeking revenge on anyone who dared to enter her domain..." I let my imagination run wild, conjuring spine-chilling scenes and mysterious characters. The pack leaned in closer, their eyes wide with fascination, hanging onto every word I spoke. The suspenseful atmosphere made my heart race with excitement.

Ding! The little chat box on the online dating site lit up like a Christmas tree. Laura sucked the last mouthful of her coffee and gaped at the screen. You have got to be kidding me, Laura thought. Already? She clicked and read a message from “9inluvr”: Hey, babe. I live in the city and so do you, so let’s hook up for some FWB action. She snorted. Oh, sure. Just like that. Yer a catch, Bud. A real romantic.

Short Story's Blurb: Gayle's world shatters when her mate, Alpha Miles, chooses his childhood friend, Nichole, to spend the night before their wedding. When Nichole boldly asks if Miles would make her his Luna instead of Gayle, his response cuts deep: "I would."

The only sounds within the room were the faint hum of the refrigerator and the persistent ticking of the wall clock. Then, suddenly, it came to her, the blog post. A personal account from a woman who claimed to have been romantically involved with a vampire. The title echoed in her mind: “The Truth About Vampires (Not the Kind You Think).” Heart racing, she booted up her laptop and searched for it, fingers trembling as she scrolled to the bottom of the page and clicked the tiny “Contact Me” link. Hi, my name is Chloe. I think I may be in a similar situation to yours. I’m scared. I think I signed a contract with a vampire.

His cold expression held no traces of fear as he glanced between his friends, from the couple among them to those who were always at each other's throats. “Signing an online form to consent to consensual-non-consensual sex with strangers isn't the wildest thing we’ve done together.” He scolded but Mike was so fear-stricken that he refused to be shut up. “Yeah, but not in a fucking haunted mansion—” “I said it’s not a fucking haunted mansion,” Gem interrupted him, kicking him in his shin. Mike groaned in pain and she quickly rushed to him, her hand wrapped around him. “Are you alright?”

It was hard to believe, but she had seen the evidence herself and there was no denying it. As a teenager, she used to read all those cheesy online fics, a werewolf falls in love with a human, and though he faces criticism and challenges, he sticks to the woman because she is his " Mate ", specially given to him by the moon goddess. She used to find stories like that romantic, and then her stupid brain would always wonder if there was someone out there for her as well, her soulmate.

My laptop screen lit up into the dimness of my dorm room as I typed the same words again and again in the search bar: longing, physical ache, connection, bond, supernatural symptoms. I half expect nonsense, fanfiction, folklore, bullshit paranormal blogs. But the more I read, the more a horrifying pattern emerges. Werewolves, bonds and mates. The words burnt into my eyes like fire. It was simply ridiculous, I mean, I did not even believe in that kind of thing.

“Can you calm down Juliet?” “Signing up on an exclusive hookup site? Are you insane?” She started pacing. “Even regular dating apps are risky. They're a lot of catfishs, stalkers, creeps, name it! This is a whole other level! No number, no face, no real name just ‘Mr. T’ and a blindfold? What if he’s an assassin? What if he’s part of some trafficking ring? Aren’t you watching the news? Crimes are skyrocketing!” Juliet…”
