Underground Hearts Club
One that I knew I wasn’t going to like.
“Hey,” said Gemma, mid-way in between the lecture, “my birthday is this weekend. My roommates and I are going out clubbing. You’re coming with me, right?”
I smiled. Normally, that wouldn’t have been something I wanted to do. But with the way that Octavious Luna was looking at me like I belonged to his family, I wanted to do something reckless. Going to a club and dancing the night away with strangers seemed like the perfect solution to that. “Yeah,” I told her, “That sounds like a lot of fun.”
