Not the frantic wildfire of last night, but something smoldering, banked coals waiting for air.
The bathroom floor was heated, a luxury that made her toes curl. She started the shower, setting the temperature high. Steam billowed, fogging the glass enclosure. Grace stepped inside, letting the hot water sluice over her shoulders, down the curve of her spine. She tilted her head back, eyes closed.
The glass door clicked open behind her.
