I shot another with the gun, hitting another nearby with the back of it before I pulled him to my chest and slit his throat.
The gunshots made such beautiful music.
Bartise slid from where he was, glazing on the floor, through the blood, bullets flying from his gun. I dropped the body held against mine, running to jump on one man’s back, kicking him and stabbing him all at once. I pushed his body forward, him knocking the man before him who I fell on, stabbing over and over.
Killing twenty men shouldn’t have been that easy nor that fast.
Our body count was over a thousand, not counting those burned down.
