“You all can head to the blue room.” The others filed out quickly, leaving Emma behind, tugging at her dress as she tried to shift it before leaving. “Emma,” Alex called before her fingers touched the door handle. She stopped, confused. “Yes?” Alex walked closer, closing the distance between them until his voice dropped low enough that only she could hear. “Beauty is a mindset, not your clothes, hair, or face. So always wear what you’re comfortable in.” With that, he turned and walked back to his seat as if nothing had happened. As if he hadn’t just said it.

“Then aesthetics. A space has to work before it can impress.” He nodded, “And when those two conflict?” Her mind moved faster this time. “Then I find a compromise. There’s always a way to balance both, if you understand the client’s needs well enough.” His fingers tapped lightly against the desk, “Clients don’t always know what they need.” “That’s why we’re there,” she replied before she could second-guess herself. There was a brief silence. Then, “Continue.” And she did. She spoke and explained as best as she could. He asked more questions and she delivered. She didn’t crumble like before. But, she still felt it.

”For the final product, the creative team polished it first so it will be more proper for the customer. I wasn’t a big fan of beauty products, afterall. It didn’t mean that I hate it, I just didn’t use it that often. I learned from school that when designing something, it’s alright to focus on the aesthetic part of it. "Something that when I walk into that gala in two weeks makes the room understand that I arrived on purpose."
