How To Name Your Story Novels & Stories

“We’re talking about the Live Action Role Play we all do. Or the graphic novel we’re writing, using ourselves as the characters. Brainstorming ideas.” We all digest that idea for a moment. “That’s not half bad,” Reese allows. “We can’t write a graphic novel if we don’t have a title,” Aiden says. Tom strikes a dramatic pose. “The Comic With No Name!” “Misfits,” Shelley suggests, earning a chorus of mild protests. “Mavericks,” offers Reece. “Peacekeepers?” asks Aiden “Peace Seekers,” says Tala, and we pause again. Aiden frowns, then nods slowly. “I think we have a name,” he says. “That’s us. We’re the Peace Seekers.”

I said, calling on her. "Ma'am, I have a questions based on titles." she replied, standing up and ducking her head shyly. "Yes, let me hear you." I said. "Does the title of the novel have to relate with the story, because I have read a lot of books where the storyline doesn't go with the title." she asked smartly. I cleared my throat loudly before replying. "Yes, the title of the book has to relate with the storyline, something that can get readers attention and make them curious to want to delve into the book." I replied her question the best way I can.

"Funny story that. My mother got pregnant with me while dancing for a slobber. When I was born, well, she couldn't read or write then, couldn't figure out a name for me till I was about six. All my friends had names, so I ran home one afternoon and asked her how come I didn't have one. She just looked at me and said, 'You have a big dick, don't you? Then your name is Dick.' That's the only thing that woman ever gave me." I kept my expression neutral, though my wolf bristled at the barbaric tale. "My condolences for your... circumstances." "Do you see me moping about it?" Dick spread his arms wide. "If it weren't for that, I probably would still be nameless, or not!" He cackled at his own jok

I said eagerly as both of us crawled into bed, throwing the covers over us. “Are you ready?" I asked as soon as we laid down. "Yes. What's the title of your story?” Marissa asked, curling up into a ball beside me, her eyes lit up with enthusiasm and anticipation as she watched me. "The title of my story is 'Princess Aimee and the Monsters'," I announced. Instantly, the look of delight on her face disappeared, replaced by a look of terror. I couldn't help but laugh as she asked why it had such a frightening title.

When I started Book One, I would have never thought this would be the direction I’d take in Book Three, especially not when I was writing the first few chapters of my debut, but here we are. I named the female lead Sushmita after my closest friend in the sixth form (she doesn’t know yet), coupled with Alagumalai which means “beautiful mountain” and is part of the name of my favorite English teacher (she doesn’t know either). I almost chickened out and was going to use something generic, but the tale didn’t carry the spark I wanted as I began writing, so I swapped it back. If either of them ever read this, I hope… hm, what do I hope for? I hope they won’t mind and see it as me projecting them

Just wanted to write a little note to you all. Thank you for reading my story. It is no where near being completed. I actually write as I go along. Everytime I sit down to write, I get more and more ideas and different directions on which way to turn my story. So, on some days, I want it to go one way, and the next it is a completely different way. However, once I submit and post a chapter, I have to go off what has been released, and therefore, I switch back and forth between my future chapters. I hope you guys like my story though!
