The crackling of the fire seemed to echo the suspense in the atmosphere. Alastair's story progressed, I found myself drawn into the world he was weaving. Axe's mind raced, trying to process the sound that he had heard a moment ago, and thought, 'Had I misheard something? Was it a mistake?' But then, in the split second that followed, a haunting voice cut through the air, "Boom! Boom!!" Time seemed to slow down as that sound reverberated through Axe's mind, a deafening roar that drowned out all other sounds. His heart skipped a beat as he watched in horror, the car transforming into a roaring inferno, flames licking at its metal frame.
