How To Write Romance Books Novels & Stories

His forehead lowered to hers—barely touching, but close enough that she felt the warmth of him, the promise beneath his restraint. She expected a kiss, but instead, Daniel’s lips brushed her cheekbones, her temple, and the side of her jaw—each touch was nothing more than a warm brea

How I met him was quite a meet-cute, never have I been in a relationship this passionate. He was everything and supported me, he gave me all I ever asked for. Since I first met him at the club, where I turned from a waitress to a striper, he had always hovered around me. He made me felt special, I could see his love for me in his eyes. We never had any problems, just small irrelevant arguments. I have been dreaming about the day he would propose to me, to be sincere, I have never been this patient in my life.

His warm hands on my face and his closeness set my body ablaze with my feelings for him, coupled with the soft words he was uttering. “Sandy,” he said softly and rubbed my cheekbones with his thumb. “I… After understanding what my heart is feeling… Sandy… I…” My heart hammered faster every second. Blood rushed through my body at a speed that my head started to get light. I was anxious to hear what he had to say. A part of me dreaded separation and the other part of me remained positive. “I know I’m the worst at romance, but this is me pouring my heart out.” He gulped. “Sandy… I… I love you.”

Let me read what changes to her plot. An hour later, I finish reading her story, and it's good. It piques my attention. She has already fixed her grammar and other error. Should I challenge her a bit? I want her to be the best before she marries me. So I will tell her that it's good and I'll rechallenge her to a new plot. Let's me see what kind of plot I should give to her? Angsty romance? No, it doesn't suit her. I know now! Since she is a model, let's make it more interesting. I'll give her the plot to turn into a novel with 60k words that contain two thousand words per chapter.

"Can I tell you something?" "The beautiful thing about stories is that the protagonist always gets to write the ending. Not the villain nor the critics. You." She tapped my knee for emphasis. I asked and boldly asked her about her work. "What do you mean 'no more'? What was happening there, by the way?" She curiously asked, and I grunted. "Ugh! I am not really satisfied. I mean... There should be more than just them kissing, right? This one is an adult romance book, isn't it? Where's the spice? And look at this. The word count for this chapter didn't reach your average count. It is way shorter than the rest, Oj. You should do something more with this scene." I explained with a bit of frustration, and she looked at me with her right eyebrow raised.

What was your inspiration to write The Lady and the Scoundrel? I am a writer and full-time editor for many different projects, including a short story magazine. I wanted to write a contemporary romance inspired by my favorite romance novels as an exercise in discipline, to see if I could take on longer writing projects. There are several winks to what once was one of my favorite romance novels sprinkled throughout the story, so you can say it’s very loosely inspired by that one. If any of you figure out which one it is, let me know in the comments! While the historical setting, characters, and plot are completely different, it draws on the famous concept of the strong female lead that has
