“Have you actually watched The Hunger Games? I asked her. “No, why?” Her face held a confused expression, so I explained. “It’s not what you think. Matter of fact, it’s not even about food. It’s more like survival of the fittest. They pick people and leave them in the forest where they kill each other until only one remains alive and come out as the winner.” Her face was horrified and annoyed at the true story of the movie. When she mentioned chicken and The Hunger Games, I kinda figured she hadn’t actually watched it because that’s what I thought when I first heard of it.

Katniss was still a little girl when she realized that being a rogue was not safe and was very hard. They ate when they were able to hunt, if and when the packwolves left them alone or other rogues, cruel and sadistic, weren't around. They went cold or hot, with nothing clean to cover themselves with. She had lived in hiding since she was orphaned at age sixteen. Now at eighteen, she had her wolf to protect her, but she wasn't strong enough to win against the nasty rogues who crossed her path and looked at her with lust in their eyes.

He's watching and calculating as though he's waiting for someone to make the first move. And then I hear them. Obnoxious chortles and taunts. More than a dozen Rank five boys stalk further onto the arena in formation. They're taller and older, grinning as if they have just been handed fresh meat and told to go wild. They have the kind of eyes that say, ‘I've set people on fire and enjoyed it.’ They're already cracking their knuckles and stretching. One of them spits on the ground. Another licks his damn teeth. "Oh, fantastic," I mutter. "We're doing a full Hunger Games. Should I say something inspiring or just die quietly?"

I will put in as much effort as I can into the book so as to entice you all, however, the book is strictly rated 18, as there will be scenes that may be inappropriate for very young readers. Instead, he just sat there, waiting for her to process it and be able to talk—or at least breathe. “Uh… wh-what?” she stammered. “Yeah,” he said. “The marking ceremony happens during sex. That’s why the book wants you to be eighteen, I’m assuming. So that you’re an adult, or whatever.” Everly shook her head, and the ability to think and speak came flooding back to her. “But wasn’t that book written, like, four hundred years ago? Back then, people had babies when they were thirteen. Why would they care if I was eighteen before I had sex or not?”

Maybe Payne got greedy and wanted 1 million dollars, who knows? Hope Violet was away and counting every minute that they spent dressing, seems like she was an accurate time keeper. Hope looked younger than all the girls. Maybe 16 or 17. The frigid in her eyes told a different dark story. That she was an underaged child, running from her family in search of freedom money. The Macmiller game of sex was the unfortunate bid. Stacy Green was like her color, alive and agile. But something about her shape was odd. Her stomach area just above her pelvic was slightly protruded. Was she perhaps pregnant? Jeane minded her business.
