                   ● Chapter-1 ( Flashbacks )●

                           (A few Years Ago)

" Mumma, can you please tell us the story again?" A little girl named Aurora asked.

She along with her older brother have gathered around the fireplace.

The flames kept the family warm even in the middle of the winter as it was one of the coldest ones in about the last few hundred years.

"Again?" A beautiful woman with black hair laughed hearing her youngest child request.

That woman was exceptionally beautiful for a human in her thirties with her blue eyes and freckles.

" Please " The little girl begged to look at her.

" Okay but only if you promise that you won't get nightmares from it," the woman asked and both children eagerly nodded their head and excitedly laid in her lap in approval.

She laughed looking at those innocent eager faces.

" Many years ago there was a war in between different kingdoms. " the children carefully listed as she started the story.

" To decide which kingdom will rule them all as. The leaders from all sides were ruthless. There were some humans, vampires, wizards, witches and werewolves.  But there was only one ruler who was most powerful yet kind and gentle. He was chosen by moon goddess herself to bring peace among all species. 

His name was Hades Knight and there was a rumour that he's a lycan" the children gasped and the woman continued.

"Watching his strength and army many kings were jealous of him and started to conspire against him and his family to drag him down. 

It's wasn't easy to kill hurt Hades but there was only one way to defeat him and that was to kill his mate.

They joined hands and declared war against him. The king had no choice but to leave his queen and his children behind in the palace but what he didn't know that it was all a trap to kill his family. The night when Hades and his army marched toward the border.

The kings decided to put their plan into action. 

What Hades didn't know that his enemies were breathing below his nose in form of his servants.

They attacked the queen and cut her throat. She died almost immediately.

The moment she died Hades collapsed on the ground and howled in pain as he felt half of his soul ripped away from him.

His lycan took control of him and he ran back towards the castle to check up on his mate hoping that he's wrong and she's fine.

When he returned back the scene in front of him broke him completely and his whole world collapsed.

He saw his mate dead surrounded in a pool of her blood and around her were the dead bodies of her murderers and his 3-year-old son crying in the arms of his daughter.

The whole land reeked of blood.

No one knew who killed those murders but he didn’t have time to think about it.

Hades found that it was all planned by all other kings to bring Hades down.

Hades was thirsty for the blood of those who were the reason why he lost his beloved mate and the mother of his children.

Soon he found the kings and skinned them alive and left them in the forest to get eaten by wild animals."

She looked back at the children and saw their terrified expression and continued " Soon after getting revenge for his beloved he became cold and soon he gave up on his life and followed his dead mate meet her in the afterlife. It's said that mates always live together even after their death. After his death, his ministers took care of the kingdom until his children were of age to rule." 

" I think it's enough for today," She asked the children who looked eager to hear more.

“ Mumma, do lycans still exist?” the boy asked his mother.

“ Yes, but no one have ever heard from them in a very long time but I think they still exists “ the women replied her son.

“ And werewolves and other species? ” the boy asked again.

“ Yes that do that’s why you shouldn’t do deep inside the forest to play because it’s dangerous” she answered warning her son who carefully nodded in agreement.

" What happened to the baby?"  Aurora the youngest one asked curiously looking towards her mother.

The woman smiled at her daughter and continued " The baby's name was Leonidas but after his parent's death he had no one to look after him except his sister but soon his sister found her mate and started to travel to strengthen relations with other species. Other kids were afraid to befriend him because he was different from others. He grew without love so soon his heart became hard. He never knew what love is except for the little time he had to spend with his mother. Some people say that the boy is the cruellest people to have ever lived because of his harsh training to because next King but I don't think he has ever known the concept of love." 

" Why are you crying my love?" the woman asked worriedly looking at her younger child.

" He must be so lonely and sad. He didn't even have his Mumma to tell him a story" Little Aurora cried in her mother's warm embrace.

"Maybe someday he'll find someone who will love him," the woman said looking at her daughter with a smile on her lips.

" Really Mumma?" Little Aurora asked her mother and her mother nodded.

" It's getting late let's go sleep," The woman said as she picked Aurora in her arms and ushered her son to in their bed.

She tucked Aurora and her son Fin in their bed.

" I hope he'll find someone soon" little Aurora whispered to her mother.

" I hope so too honey," the woman said and kissed Aurora on her forehead.

"Good night my lovelies" the woman whispered to her childrens before she walked away.

                            ( Present Time)

                        •••••Aurora’s POV•••••

WAKE UP.....

WAKE UP.....

Looks like guards are here again.

I slowly opened my eyes hearing the harsh and loud sounds around me.

I'm lying here curled into a ball on the cement floor after many weeks in captivity, beaten, bruised and weak.

It looks like my wounds won't be healing anytime soon. As always I shut my mouth and think back to the happy memories I shared with my family as a child.

My world once was free until that dreadful day when I lost everything I ever had and known.

The day I lost my light and the reason to live.
