“I don’t want to keep you here forever,” I added lightly. “Just long enough to help you remember who you are.”
She rolled her eyes. “Oh, right. The whole ‘burning star, meant for more’ speech. I’ve heard it.”
I chuckled. “Yes, but hearing and believing are different, aren’t they?”
