All the makeup made her uncomfortable no matter how thin the layer was. "We are done ma'am," the head among them spoke and she looked up to her. "How old do you think I am?" Ariel asked but she didn't reply. "I'm 25, get that into your head next time you call me ma'am. Just leave," she got up and went on the bed. They bowed and left then she followed then after few minutes. She was so hungry making her angry with everyone. Damian was already on the table but was scrolling through his phone instead of having breakfast.

I asked simply and she sniffed back tears before shaking her head in refusal. “No, I had no idea who you were but someone made me do it” My eyes narrowed, “who?” “Lady, Av_Avril* She managed to say the word out and I gasped. “I didn't know how Lady Avril got to know about our relationship but she came to me one night and manipulated me into believing that you had stolen the bracelet from her because you were jealous of her engagement to the Prince and I believed her and accepted to steal it back when she asked me to”

Please tell me they don't have proof. Sensing her nervousness, Rakel shot her a look. “What?” She shook her head and listened to the Alpha Elder's words. “You are right, King Jorah, but we do have evidence.” he turned to the vampire elder to continue. “Elder Leondris is right. A hybrid was recently spotted in a pack in Australia with her kids. Unfortunately, she escaped before the Alpha in that area could apprehend her. Do you realize how significant of this matter is? If a hybrid could procreate and have children, that suggests they were never extinct in the first place. They've been hiding.”

I ask, “What did you mean by you know what I am? And what was in those cups, I’ve never felt this way after eating.” She sighs as she looks at me with a puzzled expression on her face and she says, “Ms. Sinclair.” I tell her, “Call me Marinette.” She nods, “Marinette. You’re a hybrid.” My eyebrows knit together as I ask, “What does that mean?” She chuckles, “Well, what do you think you are?” “I’m a human? I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Her eyes widen in surprise, and she says, “Marinette… you’re not a human. If you’re trying to keep it a secret, don’t worry about it. We have plenty of others like you that work here, including me. We’re just here to help you.”

" Resolve washed over me. I wasn't the shattered woman they'd thought they had overthrown. I returned to my room and sat on the bed. I was talking softly. "I am in Jasmine's body, but I am still Aria. I will find out what Alex is hiding from me, and I will have my revenge." I fumed over the shaking hands and growled, "I will not let this get the best of me."

"Marks you? What does that mean?" They shared a look again. Harper looked at me. "So, it's true then? You were cloaked? You're a hybrid?" I nodded, unabashed. The way she'd asked wasn't particularly insulting, merely curious. "Yes, I am. So I'm fairly new to all this, which is why I'm gonna need a lot of help in preparing the Imperial Ball. I know it's a big deal so I want to give it my best." The girls grinned at me. "Fear not, Luna. We'll make sure that it's the best Imperial Ball ever," Amy assured me, bringing out a large album from behind her, one I hadn't noticed her carrying before.

I squint my eyes looking at my twins and they seem human to me with their beautiful gray blue eyes in their tailored suit, plump pink lips, long lashes to die for, neatly shaved defined cheek bones. I ask with a glare. “She’s the most special kind of hybrid there is and the only one in existence. She is a white wolf with golden eyes as I presume you are as well given your eye color. You are the only two in existence and it’s quite amazing how you ended up being mates. Luna is also a witch and the demon queen.” Amelia says and I notice Luna flinch at her words out of the corner of my eye.

_Aria's POV_ When I woke up the next morning, for a few seconds I forgot where I was. I stared at the unfamiliar ceiling above me and blinked several times. The bed beneath me was soft and warm sunlight poured through the large windows. Then everything came rushing back; the rejection, running away and the rogues. A sigh escaped my lips. I slowly sat up and pulled the blanket tighter around myself. The room was quiet. No one was banging on my door. No one was yelling my name. No one was demanding that I do chores before breakfast.

His hand came up, hesitated, then cupped my jaw with bare, careful fingers. “May I?” he asked. Heat flooded my skin. “Yes,” I breathed. His thumb stroked along my cheekbone once, a barely‑there touch that still sent sparks racing along my nerves. “Aria Mooncrest,” he said softly. “Hybrid, princess, nightmare survivor, absolute menace when cornered. You are not a ledger. You are not compensation. You are not a broken thing we’re trying to fix. You’re…you. And we are catastrophically, gloriously, in trouble over it.”
