A faint, thrilling heat began to uncoil in her stomach. "If your son knew his father was sleeping with the woman he loves, I imagine he'd be quite horrified," Nicha sneered. The petite woman made a move to get up and leave. This middle-aged man was simply far too charismatic. Even though he was approaching his fifties, his magnetism was undeniably dangerous. "I'm not the only villain here, Nicha. You're just as wicked as I am," Chayon said, his jaw tightening. "And so what?" the younger woman fired back.

They kept telling me that it's never a good idea to always place your trust in people, and I keep averting my eyes from them while seeming to go with the flow. I can eventually accomplish something that would improve me as a person and a villainess compared to how I was in my previous life, now that I've learned that lesson the hard way. I say, putting on my fakest charming smile that they can't help but admire, "Thank you ladies, you flutter me this much." You can admire me all you want, but I'll be the one who can ultimately betray you all. I smirk inside and finally murmur as I continue to enjoy my tea at the mere concept of that.

And then, he gave a slow nod, like I’d just passed some unspoken test. “The Revenant has risen,” he said, his voice flat, almost impressed. “Damn right I have,” I muttered under my breath. And this time I wasn’t here to haunt anyone. I was here to fucking burn the world down.
