The people of Orbloem didn't cause any ruckus finally accepting their fate and Edward as their Ruler. Edward was running out of excuses to punish the innocents. Edward was aging, his life span nearing the inevitable end no mortal could escape. Death. His once energetic bones now creaked and groaned whenever he tried engaging himself in the venereal act. Edward was in a desperate need of an heir as the whispers about his deteriorating health that once sounded in dark deserted corners of the Palace was emerging like the dead floating in a river.

Now that one of the Duke has finally freed from his worries, Roberth was restless because, the person behind Duke Merrica wife 'sickness' was actually him. A golden goblet flew across the room, and hit one of the naked maid at the end of the table. "Advisor Leonardo…confirm the news…send people to the north at once!..". but they raised their silk-embroidered scarves and waved them with a faint smile, believing the newcomer to be a wandering knight of Lorraine, or a passing duke of Anjou, so suitors had reason to cringe in disgust, being petty knights or barons far too young and uneducated. Reaching the steps of the palace, the young nobleman sprang from his saddle as if in battle, and accompanied under the gray-white vaults, rang from the famous bell to which the king was obliged to ascend the throne, now in the middle of his lunch, and frowning before all. to his courtiers with obvious annoyance who took on a look of melancholy oppressed by the king's displeasure, and all looked upon the door as a condemna

This abbot seemed more and more interesting by each passing second. "..... Revered abbot, I am deeply aggrieved to say that some of my knights had also been infected by the deadly corrodes disease during their venture around the city, so I was hoping that the Divine One will go take a look at them on my behalf." I said with a faint smile hanging to my lips. "But of course My esteemed Lord, however I shall not promise anything prior to seeing their conditions. I hope My Lord can understand my predicament." The abbot bowed wistfully.

I just reminded him of the worst night of his life in the cruelest way ever. “When it happened…it was unexpected as that was his first episode. We had all heard about the illness that causes the wolves around the pack to exhibit madness but never for once did we think such would occur in the Palace. Especially as we had all been vaccinated by the royal physician, Sir Henrick.”

Kamala cut in with her own question; she was still staring at me with her mouth hanging open. “I was assigned to his manor…” I explained. “Then, some stuff kind of happened,” I added, looking down at Mateo. “You had a kid with him? A nobleman?” She asked in a gasp. I nodded once and sighed. “Now isn’t the time to talk about it,” I told her as I looked across the kingdom and watched more slaves getting the fatal blow of firearms. "Your Excellency, these are the King's medical records extracted from the Grafton Providence Hospital. They detail a 'secret' treatment His Majesty has been receiving." Mabel's eyes widened as she seemed to remember something, probably from when she was in college with Lawrence. "His Majesty suffers from a trauma-induced compulsive disorder," I continued, "because he never intended to kill his Queen." A murmur swept through the room while the footman dropped my coffee. The King denied ever hearing the name of that hospital. "What a load of crap!" He exclaimed. "This is an outrageous fabrication. A conspiracy of the highest order." Ignoring his outburst and fist slamming to the table, I conti

I twisted them without thinking and dropped my gaze to avoid staring. I knew he was a noble. Even in my ignorance, I’d heard about the Alpha King’s bold General. Knox admired him. Why did he look sick? "I’ll be blunt, Miss Vale… I’m dying." His words snapped my head up in shock.

“You are crazy to say that out loud. My father was part of this pack. I… I am a true blood of this pack” “No,” another voice protested. “You seem to be forgetting. You worked here as a soldier and you said it once yourself, your mother cheated before she birthed you. We may have been damned since the day we let you take the throne for yourself,”. That hit a damn nerve. I could no longer control the rage inside me. “Guards!” I thundered. “Seize him,” The elders panicked and all gave way to avoid being dragged out of the room. The Noble struggled with the guards but he was nothing but a weak entitled prude with a mouth.

They jerked up as they weren't expecting anybody there but I ignored their wide looks and walked closer to them. "What is happening to Ry……. I mean the king," I said with difficulty. "Who are you?" One of the men there asked. "Please just tell me," I pleaded. He sighed and scanned me from head to toe. I know that I looked terrible but that's not why I am here. "He is suffering from an unknown illness," I lurched at his words, what is he talking about? That Ryan is suffering from an unknown illness. What could have caused the illness?
