She sat back in her seat, watched the windshield wipers move rhythmically ahead, and said softly, "Besides, I hated that fake too. But I hated pretentious women like Joanna even more. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, isn't that right?"
I looked at her, my heart filled with mixed emotions. From the beginning, she had not simply been helping me. She had been choosing the ally most worthy of her trust.
"Tina," I said solemnly.
"Yeah?" Tina raised an eyebrow.
"Thank you for showing me that true love means standing as equals, respecting each other, and fighting side by side."
Tina looked at my serious expression and an almost unnoticeable expression appeared on her cheeks. She faked a cough to
