I said trying to sound convincing. "Are you sure?" Max asked. "Yes." I lied. I'm not fine but I'll be fine. Maybe not today.

I loved the wrong man, he was my first and someone quoted it right ‘First is always a lie’ “Lana, baby, look at me…” “And you lied about my parents,” His neck locked, “No! I didn’t lie about anything, little one, what is wrong with you,” His caught red-handed guilt replied this time, the look on his face was clearly exposing him, he wasn’t that good hiding himself,

My brains are just distracted by the awful negative energy emanating from them that I can’t even think of a good lie in the moment. “You hear this Joy? Your son’s starting to become rotten.” Dad mouthed and I just don’t understand why is this on mom? “Where did you go?” Dad followed up. “I..I..We had a group study together with my friends.” I spat out a lie. That’s the only thing that I could say in the moment other than admitting that I went out and partied, other than confessing that I went to a gay club and watched men in heels and wigs wiggle onstage.

I can’t believe my bad luck. My lie is definitely about to be exposed.

I think about telling him how his crazy one sided girlfriend attacked me and all the words that she said. However I chose not to say anything not wanting to spoil the mood that is seemingly nice between us. “ I was a bit busy finishing up some homework.” I lied . Hopefully he believes me. I asked, his face was in horror, “You nearly collapsed-” I pushed myself back a little, laughing. “Oh- don’t you worry.” I forced a smile onto my lips. “I must have tripped.” He wasn’t buying it,” I’m just so clumsy, Mr. Dunn.” I swallowed hard, “I’ll just take myself inside.” I began to walk to the house before I turned my head back. “Don’t tell him, please, I just-” I smiled, “Was a little light-headed.” I walked quickly to my house, trying to shudder myself from his stare.

I lied. Lord, please forgive me. "Oh, it's funny how you look so fresh from a jog," she expressed her skepticism. I would normally go out for a jog once in a while, so it shouldn't seem as though it was impossible. "Yeah, I actually stopped at the park for a few minutes to get some fresh air," I lied once again, the pills safely kept between my breasts to hide them from her. "Ok," she flipped her hand in the air, believing what I said thankfully.

This guy had just helped me out of a terrible situation, yet here I was fabricating a lie about where I lived. "Misedeo Street," I finally replied, opting for honesty.
