The forest blurring before us. Too much pain tore through my lungs. My noise was bleeding. My injured ankle and my bleeding noise threatened to give out. I still keep running. Because stopping wasn't an option. The trees ended. I skidded to a halt and my heart dropped completely. A massive cliff. The ground disappeared from my feet. Far below, a river roared through the darkness. No way down and no escape. A heavy footsteps approaching behind me. Patient and certain. I turned. To my surprise, the hunters emerged from the trees. One by one, they are forming a wall between me and the forest.

He was only about a hundred meters away from me. Oh, shit! The man took out a gun. Hunter? I opened my eyes and ran as fast as I could. The man chased me with his gun drawn. Why is he chasing me? Is he really a hunter? Or a thief? Which one is true? I kept running. Until my foot slipped, and I rolled down the hillside. Thump! My body was stuck in a crevice in the ground, covered with many dry leaves. I closed my mouth tightly. Someone was heard walking over the alcove where I was curled up.

The chain felt so light, it was as if I was ribbon dancing. Cool. "Fall back! Fall back!" The remaining four hunters took off into the forest. No one must escape. Swiftly wrapping my chain around me, I ran forward, grabbing one of their bows and four arrows. With that same speed, I ran up a tree, quickly stringing the bow and aiming at the two still in sight. Releasing the arrows, I watched them cut through the air before piercing one in his back and the girl, her neck. Deciding to let the other two be, I jumped down from the tree, ignoring the pain in my thigh.

There was no use in gaining even more attention than I already gathered. The fur on my tail was standing on end. This Hunter made me anxious. So far, he hadn’t pulled a gun on me, which was a good sign that I could carry out my escape plan without him shooting at me and potentially hurting or killing me before I could get far in my escape. “Oi, Jones! She was frozen where she stood, but when the hunter screamed in a madness cry, she ran down the back. I shot once again, this time aiming at his head. XENIA'S POV. I have to escape. My hands grabbed the grass, the air, anything at all, trying to stand. My body is trembling. Nothing good ever happens when you meet hunters. I could not afford to get caught. I managed to get on my feet, lunging forward, attempting a run. Another arrow hit me Penetrating my leg. I let out a loud yelp, crumbling to the ground again. My scream must have alerted them for I heard footsteps rushing towards me.

I pushed open the door and walked alone into the endless night. Under the dim moonlight, tears filled my eyes. Everything was blurry, and I could barely see the road ahead. I just kept walking in the darkness. When I finally wiped my eyes, I realized I had walked into a dead end. I forced out a wry smile as I looked at the wrong path in front of me. Just as I was about to turn away, I saw a drunken figure behind me. “Hey, beautiful. Out so late? Something bothering you? Maybe I can keep you company.”

He said and struck his father on his neck before breaking into tears. "There he is! I see one of them" Murphy heard a voice from afar. He got up immediately, looked left and right but didn't see Ava.
