Steamy Dreams
All the way to the store, I wondered what we'd do if the store was closed already.
But, fortunately, we were in luck... they didn't close until 6pm. She grabbed her few items and we checked out, then started to drive back home.
The winter sky was cloudless tonight and the moon was new, so all the stars were really popping out as we drove down the road.
Suddenly Emily spoke. "Look, a shooting star!" she said. "Make a wish, daddy." She closed her eyes and made a quick wish as I continued driving.
I should have corrected her and told her it wasn't a star... it was an asteroid hitting the atmosphere. I should have wished for something helpful, like world peace or something... or maybe even that
