Black Ice

Black Ice

~Toby POV~ I walk through the cafeteria, holding my tray close to my chest. The lunchroom feels like a shark tank, and I’m the smallest fish in it. I usually eat in the service hallway or the basement, but the heater in the east wing broke, and the cold was making my fingers feel numb. I just needed twenty minutes of heat. Sadly, as a janitor, the cafeteria is a busy place of people who think I’m part of the furniture. I find a table in the very back corner, tucked behind a big stone pillar.

ICE- The Alpha’s Playbook

ICE- The Alpha’s Playbook

The atmosphere inside the Capital Ice Dome was a suffocating blend of ozone, sweat, and the primal scent of several hundred shifted wolves. Isaac Corres stood at the glass, his fingers curling into the railing as he watched the blur of black and gold jerseys clash against the blue and yellow of the Bobcats. "He's going to kill him," Camila Ortiz murmured from his side, her eyes tracking Santiago Vega as he leveled a shoulder check into Derek Coleman that sent the blonde Alpha skidding across the ice. "Or he's going to win the whole damn war."

Icing The Heart

Icing The Heart

But it was too late. Victor pressed the button. Nothing exploded. Instead— A deep mechanical hum filled the rink. Low. Vibrating. Unnatural. The ice shifted. The water beneath surged again, stronger this time, pulling the fractured sections inward, dragging them toward the center where the container floated. The entire surface began to tilt in a controlled, deliberate manner. “Drain system,” Bennett snapped. “He’s activating the drainage system!” Water began to disappear fast and was pulled downward through channels beneath the ice.

Reclaim the Ice Crown (Blue Triangle Series #1)

Reclaim the Ice Crown (Blue Triangle Series #1)

He had his black hood on to cover his face and red eyes, as the people might get suspicious. After waiting for almost half an hour, the High King finally finished, now walking towards the man holding the white pillow where the blue crown had rested. The Ice Crown of Glacia was made of Everfrost Stone, the most valuable mineral in the north, even more valuable than any diamond, as it had been formed for thousands of years in the glaciers, and it would never melt. The High King gently held the crown with both hands, then walked towards the back of Arth’s seat.

This is one of the best fantasy books I've ever read so far. I strongly recommend it because it is definitely worth the coins spent! I'm in love with the diversity of the characters with each of them having their own stories and and past. Also, when are you going to post the second book???

To be honest, this story isn't badly written at all but you need to add more descriptions. However, there's really something in this book that keeps me on turning the pages. I don't know if it's your writing style, the compelling plot/conflict, or the characters... this story indeed has potential.

Colder than ice

Colder than ice

I ask, and a look of worry instantly crosses her face. “Are you sure its just the headache?” “Yes Mom, I just want to sleep and I have a feeling they would really help with that,” I say, and she seems satisfied with my answer. “Alright,” she says, proceeding to get me the painkillers and a glass of water. “Snow?” I call out to her. I’m met with nothing but silence. When rejection occurs, it hurts the wolf so bad that it may die. I hope that is not the case here. I love my wolf. I needed her to get through this. We needed each other.

Fangs Beneath Ice

Fangs Beneath Ice

Cole POV The sound of hockey skates cutting across ice echoed through the empty arena. It was sharp and violent. I pushed harder, my chest burning as I chased the puck across the rink alone. Sweat slid down my neck under my training shirt, my wolf restless beneath my skin. I slammed the puck into the goal. The impact cracked through the silent arena. Then I heard a deep mocking voice “Still practicing alone like a loser?” Hearing that voice, my grip tightened around my hockey stick before I slowly looked toward the entrance.

Fire and ice

“You don’t tremble like the others.” “Should I?” she whispered. “No.” His answer came too quickly. Too firm. He looked away, like he had revealed something he didn’t intend to. Then he handed her a small velvet box. Elara blinked. “What’s this?” “Open it.” Inside was a thin silver bracelet with a tiny flame symbol carved into it. “It’s a tracking cuff,” he said. “But it will never hurt you unless you break the rules.” Elara hesitated. “Does every slave get one?”

Breaking the ice

Breaking the ice

Adrian asked, his hands pausing on his laces. "Let me see your left foot." Ethan gently gripped the toe of Adrian's boot, tilting it toward the harsh fluorescent light. He pointed to the structural seam. "Look at this. The locking mechanism is completely loose. If you take a hard turn on the ice, this blade is going to snap right out of the holder." Adrian’s eyes narrowed. He reached down and gave the steel runner a firm tug. With a sickening click, the blade wobbled loosely in his hand. If he had stepped onto the ice, his ankle would have snapped the moment he crossed the blue line.

Frequently Asked Questions

IceWing bases in 'Wings of Fire' are these breathtaking, frost-covered fortresses carved right into glaciers or towering ice cliffs. The architecture is all sharp angles and glittering walls, designed to reflect sunlight and blind enemies—super intimidating! I love how Tui T. Sutherland describes the throne room with its frozen sculptures and the 'cold, clean' air that even smells like winter. The whole vibe is elegance meets survival; they’ve got hidden tunnels for emergencies and communal gathering spots where nobles flex their status. It’s not just a home—it’s a statement.

What really fascinates me is the social hierarchy baked into the layout. Lower-ranked dragons sleep near the frigid entrances, while the queen’s inner circle gets the cushy, insulated chambers. Even the way they decorate with captured treasures screams 'look how powerful we are.' The recent book showing Blaze’s makeshift camp as a contrast to the main palace? Chef’s kiss. Makes you appreciate how environment shapes culture.
