She mocked, and Darren joined her with a smirk on his lips. Lisa pulled her wrist away from my grip, and I let her and settled back in my seat. But my body stiffened when Darren's hand touched my shoulder, and it broke loose. My fist instantly flew in his face, knocking him down, but I didn't stop. I straddled him and pounded his face. I don't care where my fist landed. All I see is the vampire with his fang displayed, grinning at me. I hear screaming, but I don't stop. I want him dead. I like to see his blood. I want to see him bathe with his blood. A strong arm pulled me, wrapping around me, restraining me from moving.

There was hope, maybe. I walked towards her slowly, offering her my hand. She bared her fangs at me. Her eyes started to swim, but she didn’t attach me. “Trinity,” I said softly. “Come here.” Vampires rushed towards us. She turned her head in their direction as Mark started firing at them, trying to keep them away. “That’s her! Kill her!”

Clarice, the mean queen, stalked up to me. "So, it's you, idiot!" she sneered. "I'm not an idiot," I retorted, keeping my voice even. Before I could react, Pretty slapped me hard. "How dare you talk back?" Pink stepped forward, her eyes narrowed. "Let's make ourselves clear, leave Vincent alone." Annoyance flared in my chest. "Why should I? Because it pains you that he loves me?" Clarice's face twisted in fury. "You dare" she hissed, then her voice dropped to an ominous whisper, "No problem. Be sure that something trouble awaits you."

Vincent finally rose from the table, moving with the effortless grace of someone entirely unconcerned with danger or consequence. Each step was deliberate, measured.
