My blood ran cold. Who the hell was he?

Dark, brooding, filled with so much coldness and soulless. ‘Die fucker!’ And with that, I shot a man on his knees in between his eyes and he dropped dead in a puddle of his own blood.

In the pitch-black morgue of St. Jude, the heavy doors groaned and gave way under Lucas’s frantic assault. The impact echoed through the cavernous basement like a funeral bell. The scent of formalin was suffocating, thick enough to coat the back of the throat with a bitter, metallic film. Sophia gripped the cold steel of the handgun, her knuckles white from the intensity of her hold. The weapon felt unnaturally heavy, a leaden anchor in a world that had suddenly lost its gravity.

“Blood” Damien froze, staring at the crimson stain on the wood…

Bones and blood… Dark and twilight demons. It’s cold. It’s so cold. No feeling. Cold – at least I’m used to that. The zombie sat motionless six feet from the brightly burning campfire and stared at it with an unblinking gaze. Damn flames. I hate fire. Fire burns my blood. It eats up my spirit.

BLOOD AND GUILT ~TATE'S POV~ The Armory was cold, smelling of gun oil and silver. I stood at the workbench, my hands moving mechanically as I loaded high-caliber rounds into a magazine. Click. Click. Click. The sound was the only thing keeping me from screaming. 'New blood,' the Codex had said.

The figures appeared so much that they completely buried me inside. The dark scene gradually turned red; blood flowed everywhere, corpses piled up into small mountains, and screams resounded in every corner of the dark space. I'm like a killing machine, cold and ruthless. The small knife in my hand became the most potent weapon. As soon as I waved my hand at someone, that person's throat was immediately cut, and they died quickly, without an extra movement.

Lucas was puzzled he couldn't believe he had slept with a total stranger, with his personality and all he found it strang and funny all together. Lucas has a cold personality, he is especially cold mainly to the female gender , thinking back in time, his father Mr Isaac lost his precious wife during childbirth while Lucas lost his mother at a very young age of five . Because of the experience he had to go through and also watching how his father was devastated at that period of time , that was when he said to himself that he wasn't going to have anything to do with the female gender because of fear losing something dear to him.
