Master of Justice, Slave to Desire

Master of Justice, Slave to Desire

Aliana’s POV The water closed in around me... Above, I could see Dikaios’s body, floating in what looked like a starry night. It was beautiful... It was terrifying! Darkness swarmed me, and it felt like I was being swallowed whole! One moment, I was clinging to Ani’s limp body. The next I was yanked downward, deeper and deeper into blackness. My arms flailed and my lungs burned! But it was as if the shadows themselves had hands, pulling me lower into their cold embrace. The sheet around my body had turned into chains that were dragging me into a cold depth that robbed me of air...

Blood and Darkness

Blood and Darkness

He would ruin my mood. After dinner, I went to my cabin to rest but I woke up in the middle of the night. I couldn't sleep again so I just decided to go up on the top deck and get some fresh air. I hold onto the railings and stared at the dark sea in front. Even with the moonlight, the sea is still so dark. It looks so calm on the surface but who knows what are the dangers awaiting beneath it. Even if it's dangerous, I couldn't help but adore it. I wonder how Helion will kill me? Because if I will make the choice, I rather be drowned in such a wonderful sea. Dying under waters is everyone's horror, but for me I think it's a lot more noble. After all, dying in the place you love is better.

Her Tempting Nemesis

Her Tempting Nemesis

CHAPTER NINETY-SEVEN *Darkness engulfed her* "Jane!!!!!" the voice drowned in her ears as she crawled into total darkness. She opened her eyes, it was all pitch black. Devoid of life. Devoid of emotion. Devoid of memories. Devoid of hope. Just stark darkness. Where is she? She was floating in the dark as if she was drowning underneath the deepest part of the ocean. She couldn't see a thing. As if she was staring into the dark space mirroring her consciousness.

Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate

Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate

I don’t like seeing him like this. I want to tell him not to be. That it’s okay. That he’ll be okay. He has to be. I want to say something, anything, but my body won’t move. My lips don’t part. My voice is gone. All I can do is look at him, fight to hold onto his face for one more heartbeat, even as the darkness pulls harder at me. It’s heavy. Endless. Cold. I’m drowning in it now, my fight slipping through my fingers. My eyes close against my will, and Alexei’s face fades into the dark. The abyss swallows me whole, and this time, there’s no warmth waiting.

the alpha is supposed to be blind, it’s the whole premise of the book, yet the author constantly describes him as “seeing” people’s blood shot eyes, watching people walk away, looking at himself. it’s sloppy, bad writing. i don’t recommend the “sometimes not quite blind alpha”
Sirena Mares
Interesting characters. Interesting werewolf lore. I just hope the author never "cures" the blind alpha as he actually is mostly capable anyway. The FL goes through quite the character development, and that's putting it mildly. The quality of the narration and writing itself is publish-worthy.

HIS POISONOUS POSSESSION

HIS POISONOUS POSSESSION

[The Whisper in the Dark] The darkness was not merely an absence of light; it was a physical weight, pressing against Ivy’s eyes and filling her throat with the taste of ancient dust and sea salt. The heavy grinding of the stone wall sealing shut had echoed like the closing of a tomb, severing the last thread connecting her to the world above. Now, there was only the damp cold of the cellar, the rhythmic crashing of the Atlantic against the cliffs outside, and the ragged, wet breathing of the woman who wanted to kill her.

Once A Luna, Now A Stealer?

Once A Luna, Now A Stealer?

I can't breathe and the darkness overwhelms me. I can't breathe and I drown in a sea of horror. The clarity that comes with drowning is a strange thing. The darkness I see laughs at me and although it does not speak, it talks to me. It calls me weak and tells me how undesirable I am. It mocks my effort to reach the light, because what is candlelight compared to the depth of an abyss? "Stupid child!" They mock me. "How can you defeat us? You're merely flesh and blood. We are but never-ending energy."

It will get numb, useless and pathetic. This Darkness recalls the moment when she was under water, her small fingers trying to get a grip around anything but water. But they failed. AFFAIRS IN A GLASS HOUSE

AFFAIRS IN A GLASS HOUSE

I tried to touch his, intertwine our fingers so he wouldn't let go. But then, he was ripped away again, and Everything went white. I woke sitting upright, my breathing sharp and uneven, heart clawing at my ribs. The dark room loomed around me, foreign enough that it took a second to remember where I was. Lucien’s mansion. The glass house. My pillow was damp. My hands were shaking. And worse of it all—my throat hurt. Because I had been speaking out loud. It was more than a dream. A dream that felt too real.

Wolfless Temptation

Wolfless Temptation

Feyre’s POV I was thrown into the darkness this time; flung with such violence and force that I feared my landing would end my life. I never landed at all. Instead, I was whirled endlessly by unseen forces, tumbling through the unending darkness until my body was suddenly frozen to a stop, suspended mid-air. I couldn’t tell if my eyes were opened or closed, so vast was the darkness. And then I began to drown. I don’t know when I first had the realization that I was underwater. One moment I could breathe and the next, I was choking and thrashing, water flying all around me even as it filled my lungs.
