Isabella stood up, her bare, bandaged feet planted firmly on the vibrating floor. She scanned the dark cabin. There were no guns. Viktor’s weapon was at the bottom of the ocean, and Julian’s heavy tactical gear had been discarded at the estate. But as she moved toward the reinforced cockpit door, her eyes caught the gleam of the heavy silver first-aid kit Julian had used earlier.
She lunged for it, ripping it open. Bandages, antiseptics, trauma shears. She grabbed the heavy, stainless steel trauma shears, her knuckles turning entirely white as she gripped the handles like a weapon.
