Sweet Dreams
Not in an exaggerated way, but in the quiet, undeniable way of a man who has grown into his body and learned what it can do.
His presence commanding space even when he’s standing still. He looks like he belongs there, like everything else bends to accommodate him. His hands catch my attention next. I’ve always noticed them.
I had always been fascinated by them, his long fingers, strong, steady. They look capable of holding, of protecting, of breaking things if necessary. There’s a faint mark along one knuckle, barely healed, another reminder that his life hasn’t been gentle. I wonder, briefly and unwillingly, what caused it.
