A Monster's Mute Bride.

A Monster's Mute Bride.

I waved both of my hands, hoping she would know that I am grateful. "Oh right, I forgot..." She said before she reached in to the front pocket of her pink apron. The woman pulled out a pink mini notebook with a snap button and a small pen tucked in the gap of the strap. "Here." She said as she offered me the notebook. Accepting the book with both of my hands, I looked down at it with confusion. "I thought it might come in handy. Besides it's small enough to fit in to a wide pocket so you can carry it anywhere." The woman said.

Julie Wagner
Really enjoyed this book and the character development was very well rounded! Sometimes writers wrap up the ending too fast and you feel like you missed a few chapters but this boom flowed so well you don't feel left out in the cold!!! Would definitely recommend this book :)

Tbh i don't really comment on books that often but i couldn't help appreciating your writing. I'm loving the way you have sketched every character especially the leads dynamic. Ella is so cute and I'm in love with Elijah. I hope he stays like this and never makes me regret falling for him. ...️

Amulet of the Witch

Amulet of the Witch

He nods and leans to the side, pulling something out of the large hidden pocket he had down his leg. “I assume you know how to use a book and inkhold?” Tearing out the front pages he hands me a small hardcover book, bound with leather and rope, as well as what reminded me of a pen but I had to assume it was a modified bird feather, similar to how people used quills, just without the ink in a pot or the fluffy touch. Funnily enough, I don’t hesitate to take it and start writing notes about some of the things I have heard about today.

The Billionaire's Regret

The Billionaire's Regret

“This child is being raised by too many women.” “I heard that,” Poppy said sharply. I was just about to say something when a small electronic sound came from the console table. The iPad. I turned. Poppy turned too. Then, with the speed of a cartoon villain who had just discovered the red button, she ran. “Poppy—” Too late. She had already grabbed her little iPad, the one in the lavender case with star stickers on the back. Her tiny fingers flew across the screen with the confidence of someone who did not pay the electric bill.

The pocket

The pocket

The weight of our situation pressed down, heavy and suffocating. It was then, amidst the debris of a collapsed building, that Kelly unearthed it – a small, tarnished silver locket. It lay half-buried in the dust, its surface scratched and worn, yet somehow managing to retain a faint, almost ethereal glow. We gathered around it, the faint glimmer a stark contrast to the surrounding darkness. Inside, nestled amongst the faded velvet lining, was a single, faded photograph.

"I'm part of the Wolfe Tech product team. Mind if I ask what you think of the NovaPad?" She blinked in surprise but smiled. "Oh, uh, sure. Honestly, I love how light it is. I travel a lot, and this fits right in my purse. The display's sharp, too." I nodded, jotting things down. "Anything you think could be improved?" "Hmm." She bit her lip. "Sometimes it lags when I use too many apps at once. It's not major, but..." "That's good to note. Thank you." I smiled warmly. "Appreciate your time."

Forced to Marry My Stepbrother

Forced to Marry My Stepbrother

“Of course, you do. You looked so happy a while ago while unwrapping each of the gifts.” “Zian gave me a keyboard. Like a typewriter. It’s beautiful.” I still stared at the mechanical keyboard, in a retro style. “It’s expensive, right?” “It’s not that expensive.” He chuckled while undressing. “Then, Penny gave me some ergonomics. I’ve been checking that out in my shopping list, did you know? For years… it was like 15K, I think.” “You deserve it.” He chuckled. “You also gave me a Kindle Scribe… and Patricia loves it as well.”

“We improvise it live.” Pauly handed her a slim, battered paperback—Mockingbird, cover worn, pages gutted to hold a wafer-thin transceiver and a micro-SD slot. “Your new copy. Same weight as the real one. Press the title twice if you’re burned; it wipes your last three hours and plays an audiobook. Press the author twice and it pings us with location.” She slid the book into her tote without looking. “And if I press the spine?” “It complains about being objectified,” Pauly said.

Dangerous Pleasures

Dangerous Pleasures

I'm on the last bookcase just as it's starting to get dark. When I try to pull the books off the bottom shelf, one book seems stuck, but I can't tell why. It's not oversized or wedged into the shelf or anything. I pull hard but it doesn't budge. Bending down I realize it's a fake book that when all the other books have been removed it slides to the side, opening an access panel. Behind the access panel is a combination lock. I jump up, get the other slip of paper and after several tries of left and right combinations I open the lock. Inside is a small device that looks like an IPOD with ear buds attached to it. It has a small LCD screen and a thumb wheel with a button in the middle of it. I

Both laptops were black as dead with nothing to charge with. ‘These are not laptops Ken,’ Tom said dropping his gadget to the floor feeling so foolish and childish. ‘What could they be then if not?’ ‘They call them Matronipads. They are used to communicate word and picture information only to the first viewer then go in auto memory wipe. In essence, they don’t even have memory, they use virtual memory with an expiry time on closing the flip.’ ‘So the message as you said was meant for us and we don’t have any evidence to prove to anyone.’

He lifted the second device - larger, flat, wrapped in the same black enamel and silver filigree. "The mpad," he said, and his voice carried the weight of every all-nighter we had spent arguing over matrix configurations. "Portable information access. Text, image, and data storage through crystalline memory matrices. Connected to the same ley-line network as the mphone, allowing real-time information exchange between any two points on the grid."
