His hand moved to the desk behind her, caging her in without touching her. She could feel the heat radiating from his body.
“Tell me, Eliza,” he murmured. “Do you want to be good at this? Truly exceptional?”
“Yes,” she whispered.
“Then you need discipline.”
The word again. It wasn’t about the papers anymore.
Her heart thrummed against her ribs. “What kind of discipline?”
His eyes darkened. “The kind that reminds you who is in charge when you forget.”
