She queried. "It's you. I have something important I need to share with you. Can you come outside for a minute," I said to her and before I had complete my words, she dashed out of the room and was heading to the door. I felt a surge of excitement race through me the moment she stepped out to meet me.

But neither of us pulled away. That was new. The moment stretched. Not fragile. Not uncertain. Just… there. “Is this okay?” I asked quietly. I needed to. Not because I didn’t know. Because I needed to hear it from her. Her gaze lifted to mine fully. “Yes.” That was all it took. I moved slowly, giving her every chance to step back, to change her mind, to break the moment before it became something else. She didn’t. If anything, she leaned in slightly.

I have pushed her close to this monster. I walk towards her, she didn't step back even after noticing me approaching her. I picked up the belt and then knelt in front of her. I looked towards the ground and presented the belt to her.

She went in by placing her head just on the middle of my back and sighed audibly, “Morning, moonlight.” Her response pulled up a big smile on my face, and I found myself spacing out right there. My mind brought me back to that very first time I met her in that elevator. She had been so short that I had found myself just captivated by her. The way she had been wrestling with her bag and how it betrayed her seconds later, and the way she had turned red after the vibrator hit me in the face.

When her eyes met mine, something inside me shattered wide open. She did not speak. She did not need to. I crossed the room in three strides, and she was already reaching for me, fingers clutching at my shirt, pulling me down into the only truth I had left.

"Yeah" she nodded but I knew she wasn't. or maybe I was overthinking it? I sighed before opening the door for her. Then I got in and started the car.

I told her and she narrowed her eyes at me. "How did you know where to find me? How did you know I got attacked? Have you been stalking me?" She demanded. I sighed, raking my fingers through my damp hair. How was I supposed to tell her that I showed up because I heard from Kyan? "Do you even know what time it is? It's almost midnight! You literally barged in, unannounced!" "You are working for me. I have to take responsibility for your safety," I said and she stared at me with incredulity, her eyes narrowed into thin slits.

She slowly approached me, letting down the remote control to the chair as she spoke. “I wasn't….you didn't.” She stuttered, clearly not knowing the words approach for this moment. “I wasn't invited, you mean?” She shook her head almost immediately. “No, no. I didn't mean that!” She added, waving her palm almost into my face. “You are always welcome, I just….” “Find it strange I'm in your chamber?” I asked, cutting her off, with my brows slightly furrowed. She shook her head almost immediately.

He suggested while I nodded. “Okay, you can send for her” “You sent for me Alpha?” She asked the moment I let her in. “Yes, I did” “Meet me in my room 8P.M, we try again” I instructed while she nodded. *********** She walked into my room, and my heart rate skyrocketed. Our eyes locked, and the air was electric. I was frozen in place, my mind racing with anticipation. And then, she took a step closer... and another... and another.
