To Kill a Butterfly

To Kill a Butterfly

I pulled it out. Pablo grabbed Teresa and pointed a gun to her head. “I’ll kill her.” I threw the knife, it hit him right in between his eyebrows. Teresa ran into the back to the room. I looked around the room. They all looked at me. I blackout after a while, all I know is that everyone in the room was going to die for hurting my sister.”

The Mafia Game

The Mafia Game

‘Aleksis Agustus, Chief Executive of Octagon Solutions’ How shameless of her husband to say he was fired from a company he owns? A flicker of excitement rushed into her eyes. All these years, Sierra has tried to dismiss the world she grew up in. The rush and hunger for danger were pulsing through her heartbeat. The same way it would always do whenever she was given a task. There was no need to ask who would play this game better. She knew damn well who would be a better player. All she had to do now was plan her way to make Alek feel like winning, and just when he got a hold of the trophy, she’d sneak in and snatch victory away from him. Maybe kill him. Well, that would be optional.

The Game of Truth and Lies

The Game of Truth and Lies

Shane’s voice was steady, though his hands clenched tightly. “She looked out the window when the voice said not to. They don’t like it when you disobey.” “The what?” Shane didn’t answer her question right away. His eyes lingered on the girl with the rose blooming from her mouth, then slowly turned back to Farrah. “The ones who run this… whatever it is… they call it a game,” he said quietly. “But it’s not a game anyone wants to play.” Farrah’s hands clenched into a fist… “She’s dead, isn’t she?”

The Game Of Chase

The Game Of Chase

"Faster pilot! Move the damn chopper!" My eyes widened. Remote! The remote was still with him! He was quite high from the ground at that moment. If he tapped the button now, we all would die. And just as he looked up to meet Adrian's eyes, before I could open my mouth, another noise of gunshot rang across the place. The bullet that left Adrian's gun directly hit the engine of the helicopter. "Watch out!" Someone screamed in the background. Monet's wide eyes was the last thing I saw before the chopper burst with a deafening noise. The hefty wave of heat of the blast threw us to the ground. A gasp left my mouth.

R.L. Marcelain
Loving this book but, please no! don't do this to Sophia. I thought Honestly, that he would understand, and why didn't she explain that she hates her life, and she needs him because he is her only peace and happiness, how she doesn't want to be caged again. He could help her leave it behind.

If you haven’t read this book you are missing out. Definitely one of the best books. The story has substance, strong plot, keeps you anxious, unpredictabile and non-toxic. Adrian is just 🫠. I just love how their relationship develops into something so strong and inbreakable ...️. Love it all!

Hide-and-Seek with Death

Hide-and-Seek with Death

He stared hard at that photo, and his eyes gradually became more bloodshot. Sofie delivered the final blow that crushed him. "Wake up! Your Luna is dead! You and your men were the ones who personally dug her body out of the trap! Have you forgotten?"

The Game Is On

The Game Is On

I feigned relaxation and was just about to speak when Lloyd ran over, like a shark smelling blood. Worked up, he pointed at me and Wendy, then said to the reporters, “Can you believe them?! They’re actually cheating in public! Take their photos! Wendy Clark won’t be able to hide this!” He sounded really excited, and his features were twisted, which made him look like a monster. However, the cameras trained on me turned to Lloyd, taking him by surprise. Just as he wondered whether they had been bought over, Wendy slapped him in the face, stunning him so much that he found himself unable to react.

The Lockdown Game

The Lockdown Game

Eve said. She came to sit close to him, and she took his hand in hers. She smiled. "I really love your shirt." Elvin grinned. "Thanks. I was scared it wouldn't be your size." "So, the game we are playing, was it like the kind you and Lisa played?" Eve asked. Elvin slightly shook his head. "No. Yours is more complex. More arranged. Filled with more deception and seduction." Everybody was a pawn in this game. The entire city was like a board game. If Elvin tried to flee from her, Eve would lockdown the entire nation, and she knew the right people to call.

No Exit from the Death Game

No Exit from the Death Game

I thought back to that tiny detail from the fifth loop. No. 99 had said, "There's no winner in this game. The only way for you to live is to kill me, but then you become the next me." That was a paradox. Killing him meant losing, because I would become the next hunter. But not killing him also meant losing. So, what if this "room"—or rather, this "game arena"—was fake to begin with? I remembered the fifth loop. I never saw the changes in the numbers on the elevator. He just appeared from the elevator after a Ding, like an NPC spawning in an online game.

Between the Game of Death and Love

Between the Game of Death and Love

I Every tick of time, Fiel could feel the intense desire and wish that the game be finished already. Today is the third day of the Game and it was called, “Escape from Arrows.” Fiel and the other remaining five players were put in a big circle, out in the open field, and were told to run to save their lives while arrows would rain inside the big circle. Whoever comes out of the big circle alive would remain in the game. "Take the left side, Mister, more arrows will fall on the right side," it was a voice that Fiel suddenly heard before the loud sound of a gunshot was heard all over the arena.

Just Got Lucky (BOOK 1)

Just Got Lucky (BOOK 1)

It sort of looked like an exercise at night. All of us decided to play this British Bulldog's Game which in America was known as the Octopus game, where the first person has to catch the last person at the end of the tail. It was more of running and I had to catch my breath since it was my turn to run away from Jasper who was on the first.
