Adele~ I watched Silver closely, hoping against hope she wouldn’t reject the cookies. Since my lunch was unfortunately ruined by those rude, ugly bitches, I’d stopped by a roadside dessert store on our way here. I didn’t intend to get her anything, not something so cheap for a first gift at least, but when I tried the cookies, they were delicious. They were buttery, soft, melt-in-your-mouth good. So I got extra. And somewhere between impulsiveness and desperation, I figured... maybe Silver would like them too?
