Ava True to his words, Ivan arrives at my door thirty minutes before dinner, holding a sleek, brand-new model of the latest smartphone in his hands. He hands the device over to me and I take it, examining the shiny black surface. “It’s brand new,” Ivan explains when he notices my hesitation. “They were able to transfer some of your data into it, so I’m pretty sure you have some of your contacts in there. You might even find a few old messages. But unfortunately, they weren’t able to retrieve your phone number since your phone isn’t accessible anymore,” He says, voice light, but I could sense a hint of seriousness behind his words.

I chuckled when I realized he must had lifted it from me earlier. He slid my phone across the table. "Now, it's a custom blackout device. Scrambles all signals within a two-mile radius. No one can trace your calls, record you, or listen in unless they're standing right next to you." I turned it over in my hand. "You're a genius." "I know." Vinnie smirked, leaning back. "Oh, and I took the liberty of picking out your screensaver." I clicked the button. A picture of half-naked beach models flashed across the screen.

While her back was turned, I spotted a phone case in light pink, adorned with a ribbon design on the back and tiny hearts scattered around the edges. “Miss?” I called out, and she turned to face me. “Can I see that one?” I pointed to the case, and she quickly retrieved it. " I asked, looking at her. "Allow me." She took out a thick, light orange booklet. "These are your instructions. Don't lose this, you might need it." "Okay," I said seriously. Beneath that was a black screen. I guessed it was the actual phone. Abby took it out carefully. "Here it is. The best phone on the planet. It can do just about anything." "Really?" I took it from her outstretched hand. It was light. The sides and back were orange, the same color as the box, with a silver vector image of an orange etched into the metal. "It's really pretty."

Teresa glanced at Hilda's handphone. Teresa looked at the cell phone Hilda was holding, it was equipped with a transparent case that nearly concealed the Jordan Phone logo, but one could still vaguely tell that the cell phone was a Jordan Phone model. After all, Jordan cell phones were very distinctive due to their unique design. Hilda's cell phone had such a design, but it was neither the Jordan Phone 6 nor Jordan Phone 7. In fact, it looked nothing like any of the Jordan Phone cell phones currently on the market.

Ava’s was a silvery pink while Sean’s was blue, Theo’s green and Alexis’s glittery white. All had a smooth finish except for Alexis’s phone which was roughly textured.
