I said gently. He breathed out a massive amount of hair, then faced me, looking tall with his squared shoulders. "So, I was watching random clips on the internet. Then, I encountered a video of a list of incredible superpowers. I thought, why not try to discover what else I could do aside from teleportation? So, I did. There's invincibility, I tried, but I failed. There's mental reading; sadly, I can't read your mind. Then teleportation, and obviously, I could. All superpowers didn't work except two." "You know, Chrystal, I think my superpower would be the ability to heal hearts. To mend broken spirits and bring a sense of hope and love to those who have faced hardships." Chrystal's smile widened, and her enthusiasm was palpable. "That's an amazing choice, can you imagine the impact you would have on people's lives? Healing hearts and spreading love, it's a superpower that the world truly needs," she said, her voice filled with admiration.

With the stealth of a burglar and the heart of a Bollywood heroine, she slipped the speaker inside the shoe rack just beside the door, aimed the sound upward, and turned it on. As the youth finished, he whipped out his phone and dialed a number. A dozen goons soon stormed in and surrounded Frank. Plum promptly cried out in warning, "Watch out! They're very powerful, and you must—" Before she finished, Frank bellowed at the goons, "Enough!" In an instant, the dozenish goons were knocked out by an invisible power! Both Plum and the youth were shocked. Those dozenish goons were Ascendant-ranked individuals and immune against guns, so how did that brat get so powerful?! Still, the youth soon recovered and charged at Frank excitedly. "I knew you were different, and I was right! Come on, kid—do that again, don't hold back!"

I realised I would need to go down the stairs to get my backpack to get my homework done, thus still with the desire to remain unnoticed, I used my power of invisibility to stroll past everybody unnoticed. That was obviously the most outstanding aspect of being a hunter: the powers. All hunters could teleport and we could hear, see, and smell better compared to any human. We also were stronger. Those abilities were all fun and so on but the most astounding part was our individual powers. I could become invisible, it was one of the most useful powers one could have, but in spite of my astonishing advantage I was still no match for my elder sisters. *****

All throughout eating my lunch, I couldn't stop thinking about my awesome powers. It didn't take very long before I started getting even more ideas. I had told Sarah that abusing my powers didn't interest me. But what if I used them to, say, help people instead? I started to think of myself as that superhero again, grinning in excitement.
