Apparently this will asure them that they have a strong Luna and that the pack is in safe hands. We spent the rest of the day talking about when we can set the welcoming ceremony. I'll admit that I thought this feels like it is going too fast for me, but Alphas are very possessive of their mates. And it doesn't help that Christian waited for so long just to be close to his mates. I'm pretty sure he anted to mark me the first we met. And to top it off, the pack needs a mother figure or more specifically a Luna to help their Alpha lead the pack. But, I guess it is still better here than it is back at my previous pack, I'm getting involved in things that concern me.

Without second thought I scooped the little boy in my arms and nuzzle my head in neck sniffing his wonderful smell. "Uh.. mister? Stop, please~ it tickles" my mate giggles and it's like music to my ears. I stopped and looked at him and take in his features. When my mate realized that it's me the alpha, he bows his head and a growl slips through my lips. He doesn't need to bow! I am his mate! He is my equal. As soon as I realize what I've done, my little mate is looking at me scared. The next thing I heard is his sniffles. Damn! My heart is aching!

Suddenly, my eye caught the cover of mum's book. "What book are you reading?" "Oh this little thing. It's called 'The Alpha's Pup Mate' by Paula White. I love her books. Your dad thinks her fiction is a little delusional but he has terrible choice when it comes to books anyway." I giggled. "You know something? The female lead kind of reminds me of you a whole lot." "Really?" "Yeah." "Well...does it end happily?" "Hmmm... I wouldn't know. I'll just have to keep reading to the end to find out, won't I?"

“Here you are, Amelia. This is Alpha Adrian, your soon-to-be husband.” Amelia felt the ground slip from under her feet. “What?”

"Do all Lunas wear pretty dresses?" I looked down at my pale blue day dress. "I don't know." "It's comfortable." He considered that answer seriously before nodding. "I like it." "Thank you." Another little girl tugged gently on my sleeve. "Miss Martha says you're married to the Alpha." "I am." "Is he scary?" I smiled despite myself. "He can seem that way." The children exchanged knowing looks. "I knew it!" one whispered. "But..." I continued. "He's also very kind."

He must've felt the same since I felt his body relax against mine. My assumption that we were probably having the same thoughts and feelings comforted me. More so when I reminded myself that he was my mate—we were emotionally and mentally connected. Although these feelings were only fabricated by the bond that was made by accident, I was just glad that until the time we would find a way to break the connection, we were each other's. “People don’t defy me.” He said the words with his eyes looking deep into mine. I lost myself in his gaze and found fire. With his arms totally around me and all my weight on him, I looked into his eyes and found my mate. “MATE.” The call was made simultaneously by both of us. A woman everyone knew was the queen stopped in front of us. “Alpha Axel, you couldn’t be luckier.” Wait! The man I had been dancing with who turned out to be my mate was the Alpha!

Immediately three stood up, their mates didn't even try to hold them back and just pecked their cheeks. Two other females nudged their mates until they begrudgingly agreed. “Shit, can I go?” A young guy asked, his eyes begging. She raised a brow at him. “Aren't you an Alpha?” She asked. He shook his head and nodded to the girl sitting next to him, She caught in immediately. “Nah, my mate is. So can I?” He asked beggingly. She shrugged amused at how he asked her. He hopped up immediately and matted his stomach.

I frown not quite sure I heard what he said . " The little girl is right ,you are pretty ,"he gives me a creepy smile and my stomach churns in reaction . " thank you ,"I reply dryly trying to divert my attention somewhere else . " I'm glad you are out seeing the rest of the pack ,"he draws closer to my ear and speaks in a low tone ," your mate is such an asshole he couldn't let out you one bit ." " What do you mean ?"I ask very confused . " Well I mean it's obvious this douchebag alpha never Loved you ,he hogs you in his house then he treats you like shit ,"he spits with so much venom I almost recoil in fear .

“You shouldn't get jealous and less than a child, you will only make her hate you, Alpha.” "You're right," I agreed. “I know it's your mate and you have every right to do what you want with her but don't be an idiot and wait until it's bigger.” Unfortunately, I know what he mean. "I'm sure she's just a girl, Nico," I clarified in a growl. "That's why I'm telling you, she's a girl and she will die if you hurt her.” I growled. “It is not the first time that it would happen. I am not the only one who has a girl mate and unfortunately in the few cases that there are, both mate always end up dead.”
